You may have been a Nobleman, a Merchant, a Soldier, or an Adventurer ought to strike it rich before, but none of that matters now, as you are a thrall of the exiled Jarl Argar, sent aboard a ship on a hellish journey only to be deposited on the Jarl’s foreboding island prison, and thrown out into the wastes with little more than your tattered worn tunic, and instructions that you can work, fight or die, and anything you find in the wastes of the Island of Sker is to be brought back and placed before the gate to the wastes, and rewards from the Jarl shall be granted. We’re looking for a player that views role-play and character development as paramount over stats and numbers, there will likely be some mature themes, though these aren’t the specific focus of the campaign. Characters will be starting at 1st Level to help encourage the growth and bonds that develop between characters at the early levels as well! We are a group of three players looking to find one or two more players to join us in a Role-play intense 5E game on Wednesday’s at 5pm PST. The game is brand new, and will be starting this Wednesday, and is set in an interesting home-brew world. More information on the specific scenario and setting can be found here: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/131960/glorious-dawn Interested players should reply to this thread, or send a PM with the following information: Name: Age: Gaming Experience: A little about yourself: Describe your playing style: What are you looking for from the game? Adrian age 20 Gaming experience: Im have been playing table top rpgs for a while most of which being 5e. I currently run two dnd game on roll20. One has be going on for a 20 weeks now and the other 6 weeks. A little about yourself: I am a collage student atm going to the IT field. Describe your playing style: My don't really know my playstyle very well as I have mosly DM and have not been part of any long term dnd game as a player. What are you looking for from the game: I am looking for a more serious game then the others I have played in. Less goofing around I just dont really enjoy that type of game. What are you looking for from the DM: Im hoping the DM will provide an engaging campaign. I have a character all ready in mind i made for a other game that i will not be playing in as they are wanting to more of a silly goofing of kind of game. Name: Is (Isabel Oak) Race: Half elf Alignment: Chaotic Good Class: Bard Background: Noble She is a bastared daughter of an elf noble and human adventurer. She left her father after he let a group of human hating elfs kill her mother in the night. Her flaw is She does not understand the value of money as she never needed to use it before. I am male and she is a female character some people have problems males playing girls and i would be willing to play a different character if needed.
Just PMed you bud. Hope to be able to join your game.
Name: Jacob (or Buster) Age: 32 Gaming Experience: Played a lot of Werewolf and Exalted in high school, mostly DnD 3.5 in college. Graduated to Pathfinder, skipped over 4e, and started on 5e pretty much as soon as it came out. Looking to get away from DM'ing so I can get back into playing. A little about yourself: I'm a certified massage therapist, though I don't do it professionally (all that college debt for mostly nothing). My current job has me working when most other people are free, but also free when others are working, so this game schedule is great for me. Describe your playing style: I tend to go with the flow most of the time. I'm not the best at speaking parts I'm trying to roleplay, but I am good at applying my characters' unique abilities to situations. What are you looking for from the game? Something fun and not too serious. Or, at the very least, a group that's not going to have a problem if I joke around sometimes. What are you looking for from the DM? Fairness, mostly. I find it's difficult for DMs to remain as impartial judges all the time when dealing with their group. The Character (This is just a couple potential options; I have so many concepts I can fit just about any role). Name: Brelik Du'ugan Race: Half-Orc Alignment (no evil characters): Chaotic Good Class: Barbarian/Monk Background: Mercenary Veteran A former mercenary known for his laid back attitude and refusal to work for employers he dislikes. He's well-liked by the commonfolk but has an inherent distrust of nobility. Name: Xankul Race: Eladrin (Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes) or Half-Elf Drow (Sword Coast Adventure Guide) (don't know what books you're allowing, but this can be changed) Alignment (no evil characters): Lawful Good Class: Hexblade Warlock Background: Folk Hero A misplaced miscreant from a small town that shunned him because of his ancestry. When a preternaturally overgrown boar that not even the village's best hunters could bring down threatened to destroy his home, he stood it down with mystic power the likes of which none of them had seen before.
I might be interested.. will send pm shortly!
Updated to include a bit of information on the setting / starting scenario.
Name: Raige Age: 25 Gaming Experience: I only recently got into Dungeon and Dragons. I have been playing for the past year and feel like I have much better handle on things than I did before. Though most of my time playing has been in the role of the DM, running things for my friends. A little about yourself: When I'm not working I like to spend my time drawing and working on crafts. Things like sewing, knitting or sculpting. Otherwise I'm at my job hoping the whole working as an artist thing works out one day. Describe your playing style: I really like getting into character when it comes to a playing. Making unexpected or even stupid moves to fit with how the character would behave. I like to try and coax role-playing moments out of other people but never press a situation if the people are uncomfortable or uninterested. What are you looking for from the game? When it comes to a game I like when the plot is very character and story driven. I like games have a more serious tone, but unless the tone is reaching horror or grimdark levels then a little bit of levity sprinkled in can be nice. What are you looking for from the DM? The biggest thing I look for when it comes to the DM is that they are enjoying themselves as much as the players. A checked out DM just doing it because they have to can pull everyone out of the fun of the game. The Character I have a few ideas for characters I could run so I would be happy to play any of them if there is one that fits better for the setting or party. Name: Nescron "Nes" or "Nessie" Vorrik Race: Gnome Alignment (no evil characters): Chaotic Neutral Class:Bard Background: Entertainer A gnome bard that acted as the face for a band of highwaymen. Nes' job was to quell panic and bolster the people to the cause of his not so merry band of men. In honesty the gnome had no idea of the true shady acts of his comrades. He was fully convinced that they worked for the betterment of the people that met along the way. Ultimately the craven acts of his party almost got them captured, but they saved their skin by offering Nes up on a silver platter as the true leader of the band. Nescron was known for their bombastic personality, but after being sold out they come off as more pensive and bitter about what happened to them. ---------------------------- Name: Alric Stellim Race: Human or Warforged Alignment (no evil characters): Chaotic good Class: Sorcerer Background: Hermit Alric spent their life on the outskirts of civilization acting as an herbalist for the town that fell just within the reaches of their home. A quiet person that likes to stay out of the lime light. They have a dry sense of humor about them that can get a little dark when they aren't thinking through what they say. Life went along for them in a very calm sedate way for a time, but a plague swept through the town close to them and even with their efforts to create medicine the town ultimately met with severe causalities. The town shunned and even blamed Alric for the deaths of their people thanks to the shoddy medicine they offered that seemed to make people worse instead of aiding them. -------------------------- Name: Mila Forsyth (Alias) Race: Half Elf or Human Alignment (no evil characters): True Neutral Class: Warlock Background: Criminal (Spy Variant) Mila's life and even her true name are a mystery to most all that come in contact with her. She likes to keep things discrete and tries to avoid unnecessary hassle. She tells herself that people are meant to be used to further her own goals, but underneath the disinterest in people's lives she developed during her career hides a sentimentality. Something she shows with an unwavering loyalty to those who have proven they can be trusted as well as a penchant for leaving anonymous gifts to those she has a deep enough care for.
