Can you link tokens to different data sets?

Greetings!  If I purchase a complete books such as Pathfinders Beastiary but I want to use another token to represent a monster in it do i 'have' to use the token the Beastiary comes with?  Also >> Lets use the Beastiary or any Monster Manual for this example.  I want to 'link' the data for 'Giant spider' in the Beastiary but I want to use say 'Devins' token that he made for Spider (assume I have both). If I get a full compendium from either do I have to use the tokens they provide or can I use other art and if so can someone point me to how to do that?  With the playtest so 'firery' I am going to hold off on a playtest and get some P1 books and play that for a bit until the P2 rules settle to a more playable state.  Thanks in advance.

You can do with the content whatever you like :) Once you've created a journal entry by dragging/dropping from the compendium you are free to change the token, attributes, name etc as you see fit. Your content, your freedom of choice... the compendium just gives you a nice quick way of getting the basic details into the game.
