I have a 5e game that has started a few sessions ago, new homebrew low fantasy campaign, "The Lost Empire" Roll20 + Discord. No cams needed. We are not streaming. We lost a player due to a death in his family. So scanning for a potential replacement player. Not in a hurry, we are willing to wait for the right person. The Game runs 9 PM EDT, for 3 hours, every Monday night, ceasing at midnight. Warlocks are restricted as a PC class, to NPC only for story reasons. (There is a great civil uprising of the Warlocks in the Land against the Theocracy of Haeln, that controls the Northlands.) The setting is low magic, gritty realism, within a fantasy setting, in a Theocratic government, that took over when the long-standing Auld Empire collapsed. No Orcs, no Skeletons, or Undead like that. Demons, Devils, and Aberrations exist, as enemies of the Theocracy. There are rumors of ancient magical portals that were once controlled by the White Elves (who are since long gone) The Walled Town that the characters operate from "Icerock" is a frontier small town of 1000 people (147 buildings) located on high cliffs along the meeting point of two rivers from the highlands, at the edge of the Pine-forested mountains, and high moors. Cold winds blow down from the north and west. Ruins of the Lost Empire that existed 500 years ago dot the landscape. The party recently all advanced to 2nd level. So really we are just starting out, and the characters are still being established, along with the ongoing story. The party consists of (all male players): Half-Elf Rogue / Ranger Bounty Hunter Human Druid Caravan Specialist with an Owl Companion Human Soldier Human City Watchman Female Dragonborn Ranger / Blacksmith Artisan We are seeking someone who is harmonious and can get along. No power gamers. Someone who likes clues, puzzles and lore, and wants to play a well-defined character as written, and work well as a team with the party. No Drow, Or Half-Orcs, or Tieflings as races. No Warlocks. Resting is gritty, long rest is a week. So there is not a lot of magic in the land. It does exist (There are magic items, potions and rings, weapons also), but is not a real dominant force as in most High Fantasy settings. Each item is unique, designed by the DM. Swords and similar are named and have a lineage and history. This is Low Fantasy, Low Magic. Ultimately I think the party is seeking to fix the problems in this town, and build the town up, add in another smithy, some local political action, and like that, along with combing the ruins for lost treasures. The country is slowly sliding into anarchy, as the Theocracy is losing control with the recent uprising, and nobles across the land are being assassinated. That kind of a game. Send me a PM if interested.
