EVOLUTION OF THE REALM The Evolution of the Realm is a rules-light adventure with open ended elements.
It is set in 1501 and is in my own custom world that will utilize some
DnD world building elements. We are
using a standard 5e ruleset, with a few Homebrew rules to keep things
interesting. I have DMed for one game, but disbanded it as my
players could barely show up half the time but would like to give DMing
another go. Players of all skill levels are welcomed. Four players to five players is a
sweet spot for me but I may feel inclined to allow six players, we will
see. We will be using point buy and there will be a mix of theater of
the mind and battle maps that I have custom created. We
will be playing on Saturday's at 8pm EST. Players must be able to attend
at least 80 to 90 percent of the games. I understand that life can get
in the way but I need players that can show up on a semi regular basis.
As for my DM style I consider myself pretty relaxed, I like to have a
good joke around. My ratio as of right now will be about 50 percent
combat and 50 percent roleplay. We will be utilizing voice chat via Discord. The Setting!- A little backstory: The
year is 1501, a great depression sweeps over the country. Deformities
become more and more common over the years. Citizens began to develop
horrific mutations and were shunned from the general public. It is said
that only six percent of people develop a mutation. It's cause is
unknown but many fanatics have different theories on the cause. Some
worship these mutants as Demi Gods, some wish to perform harsh
experiments on them to harness their gifts and some simply just despise
them for being different. Our heroes wake up in a prison cell below the
deck of a large ship. A mysterious cult keeps you in chains. You have no
idea where you are sailing too but the out come cannot be good. Can you
escape the clutches of the cult known as "Eden" or will you be
experimented on, tortured and ultimately killed. The choice is yours. When
accepted into this game you will roll a D100 which will determine your
mutation. I will allow you to roll up to three times and pick from the
three. This will be your mutation for the campaign, it will provide you
