Hello, newbie here! I need your help and want your opinions.

OK, I have been here for one week, spent a couple of hours exploring the features, read the wiki, and am very impressed with what I see so far. However, I am confused and find the start-up a bit frustrating: 1) REPOSITORY. Is there a repository of character sheets, macros and/or scripts available for use? I mean, does every player type each attribute one line at a time into the "Edit Character" window? Is every GM actually making custom macros and scripts based on their own particular set-up of these character sheet attributes? 2) IMPORT MACROS. I am confused; can't we import/export macros? Does every macro need to be copied/ pasted and/or keyed by hand? I see that we can now move stuff from one campaign to the next. But, can newbies find, grab, and import the basic macros, which, presumably have already been created by others for popular game systems? I have read the wiki and do appreciate the samples provided therein for game-specific macros, but is there a simple way to obtain macros? 3) NO SAMPLE CAMPAIGN. This program is powerful with macros and a programmable API. However, it is very daunting for newcomers, especially those with no programming expertise. The video tutorials are very well done, but shouldn't we make available a hands-on example? How about some of you experts volunteer to offer live tutorials?
No, no, and yes. Number three has what are called modules and there is a free one and one you can buy. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FauUtA4ajBQ" rel="nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FauUtA4ajBQ</a> There's a whole bunch of free tutorials.

1) Roll20 is system agnostic. It is up to the users to create their own character sheets and macros and due to the simplicity of the sheets and macros this should be relatively easy. However, there may be people sharing character sheets (via API script) and macros (via wiki or API script). 2) No, you cannot import/export macros. However, there may be some API scripts that people have created to do that. 3) Again, Roll20 is system agnostic and creating a sample campaign might be viewed as supporting a specific system. With that said we do have a free Pathfinder Module. My suggestion would be to watch the tutorial videos. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask. :)
Thank you for your excellent responses. I will continue to check the wiki and search the boards. Free module, perfect!

#3 my suggestion is click Create Campaign, make your own campaign as if you are GM'ing. But you don't have to announce the campaign or invite anyone. Just make your own testing, playground. It will let you view the campaign as GM where you can set some things up and see how it works, then you can click "Re-join as Player" and see what it looks like from the player's viewpoint (very similar just fewer settings/controls). Also on #3, if you are a player of AD&D 2nd Edition, I have established a 2E Tavern campaign that is dedicated to showing Roll20 newcomers how to use Roll20 for AD&D 2nd Edition specifically. If you search for AD&D in the Looking For A Group section, this 2E tavern will come up, and you can request to join and get access to poke around in the campaign to test the maps, tokens, dice roller, chat box, and so on.
