Hello, I'm looking at starting up a 5E game with a heavy pirate theme and some moral gray areas. I'll likely be using some converted Pathfinder material as a starting point for the campaign, though I envision it branching off after the opening act or so to allow a bit of a more free form approach rather than a strictly scripted published adventure. My vision of the game is to have a heavy focus on role-play and inter-party interactions, with a healthy dose of combat, intrigue, and exploration thrown in to add that danger and tension to the mix, and to accomplish this I'm hoping to find 4-5 motivated players who love to RP, are okay with a game that can sometimes be slow paced (Read: low-combat), and are willing to engage in the world and with their fellow players. This game will likely feature mature content, as a life of piracy is not always a pretty one, and I don't plan to gloss over things, though I also understand not everything should receive a great deal of attention or graphic detail, but anyone applying should be aware that we won't shy away from some of the more mature aspects of the setting. I'm looking for players who are more focused on building a great character, than a powerful set of numbers, and I'll definitely be discouraging power builds and min-maxing. We'll be starting around 4-5 PM PST on Tuesdays, the start time has a little wiggle room, let me know if that's the case and I can try to accommodate you, though the Tuesday date is pretty set in stone. If you're interested in the game please post in the thread, or PM me the following information: Applications for the game should include: Name: Age: Gaming Experience: A little about yourself: Describe your playing style: What are you looking for from the game? What are you looking for from the DM? A brief outline of what sort of character you might like to play, Race/Class/Alignment, and anything else pertinent, as well as let me know if you're dead set on a specific character class or race combination, or if you're more flexible with what you'll play. I'm potentially open to third party materials, though this will be on a case by case basis, and I'll be scrutinizing it fairly heavily.
