Hey, I'd be down for helping you. I'm getting a game going with two other players that I've known for a long time. We're by no means experts, but we're happy to have new players. We're starting a Wednesday Night Game (Central Standard Time) that will meet maybe not every Wednesday, but probably at least every other based on when people are available. I'm really more concerned about if someones a chill person who's fun to hang out with over their knowledge of the game. I'm trying to start a low level campaign (level 2) that runs for a long time and possibly meet new cool people for future games. I tend to go more player choice and freedom over grand narrative. We tend to roleplay at least as much as we have combat, so if you're more combat intensive you may not like it, and all that I ask is that you play nice with the other players and make a generally good character who's not going to try to murder/rob the party and sabotage everyone. Lorewise, I don't stick to D&D lore very strictly, but use it more as a template and may either get some things wrong or have some stuff that I've made up for it. So I wanted to say that as a heads up in case that bothered you. I'm pretty flexible and happy to let players adapt and grow the world with me. I'm just not that married to Forgotten Realms canon.
