Hi everyone; Relatively new DM (2 years DMing) looking to open another game to new players. Below is an outline of what I have to offer, what I am looking for, and a bit about my world. Please note that this is using the D&D 5e system. What I'm Looking For: Players with no experience in D&D 5e (or TTRPG's/RPGS) Players who are looking for a RP/Combat/Skill testing style of play Players interested in more than just showing up for a game, then disappearing for the time in between; I'm looking to set up a community (while you don't have to be active every day, more than just a few hours one day would be nice). Players interested in learning about D&D, who have an attitude for roleplaying and enjoying. Players who are looking for the safe, welcoming community with no condensation towards lack of knowledge or worry about "not being good enough" - we all start somewhere! What I Offer: A chance to partake in a homebrew (home made) world and campaign that I have designed. A community that is welcoming and friendly, with a focus on teaching players to play without prejudice or ill attitudes. A campaign that works to meet members interests, challenges players wit, thinking and makes for a fun and enjoyable game play. My World: https://www.worldanvil.com/w/kalartan-prplewlf The Homebrew world of Kalartan is divided into 7 continents, with many different realms. The world is a large place, with a set pantheon and racial tensions/friendships previously designed and (of course) roleplay affecting. In this world, the party will find many dangers, exciting adventures and encounters of the most mysterious means. As it is a semi-open world style of play, everything a player does can seriously affect the settings of the world. As there is another group currently involved in this world, there is cross-over than can be seen by both groups; meaning while you may take one path and change a monarchy, they may dissolve your hard work in their own actions! For Those Interested If you are interested in what you have seen above, or have any questions, please feel free to PM me! For those applying to play I ask that you detail the following information; Your previous experience in roleplaying games: Your expectations in a campaign: What you are considering playing: Ideas/Questions you have: Thank you for your time and interest! PrpleWlf
Your previous experience in roleplaying games: I've done little to none, just a one-shot game recently. Your expectations in a campaign: From some D&D videos I've watched bits and pieces of when I've had free time some games seem to be a bit overwhelming in one style, so I guess a balanced system would be one thing. What you are considering playing: I really don't have a good idea of what I might play, I was looking into some of the lore of your world before deciding anything. But I feel like I would go with a half-orc fighter. Ideas/Questions you have: I am a bit curious to know more on the cross-over idea you have and just understand a little more on how that would be working given an example. Also if the game is voice only would you being using discord or roll20 voice feature? If I think of anymore questions or ideas I will let you know either here as a post edit or in pm.

I just wanted to answer a couple of questions publicly, as I'm sure a few others will want to know this; I use Discord for VOIP and general communication, with Roll20 being used for the VT system, as well as the character sheets and tokens. As to the cross-over affecting the world; as it's a single homebrew world, with an open world complex, both groups have a run of it. While campaigns may take the groups to separate continents, sometimes they may "cross paths" (either through combined game times, or through secondary affects through their actions). In the event that we combine groups for a "special session", this may be something like working together/against to complete a mission. Alternatively, and more likely, there may be cross-overs in how you change the world. One group may cause the throning of a king, or the building of a kingdom, only to have the second group come along and disturb the peace (i.e. starting a rebellion). Hope this answers your questions! PrpleWlf
Yes that does, those type of sessions would be great and make for an interesting story. And discord sounds good, I do have one and if you need the username I can pm it to you.
