[LFP] Monday evening homebrew (5e)

Due to some absolute meatheads leaving our campaign we again need additional folks to come aid our party. This campaign takes place in a homebrew world which you can read about here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1wA5usmMWxhSCX91CBL7O0J8eZ0hHXw9c2038EUYUpOA/edit?usp=sharing Games take place every Monday at 8:30pm EST and run roughly 2 and a half hours. We use discord for voice during sessions and its also the best way to reach me 24/7. The party consists of a bard and artificer now with everyone else gone. The party is in a large coast town on the north coast of savsgrin, trying to flee the northern nation as everything seems to be going down hill. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THIS CAMPIAGN WILL BE QUITE RP HEAVY. Again I would like to remind you that this is a roleplay heavy campaign. If you are unsure about what sort of character you want to play perhaps referring to the world info post would help. THE PARTY ALREADY HAS a artificer and bard. We ARE still actively searching for players. For these applications I would like: Name/what you wish to be called Experience with roll20 A bit about yourself, why you enjoy dnd and how long you have been playing Character name, class and race (any race on dndbeyond is fine, UA materials are allowed) A bit about them, what are they like personality wise To ensure you are actually writing applications not just copy pasting things out of a word doc, this is the required format and I am to believe if you don't follow it you did the minimum effort post which is a guaranteed rejection. DO NOT PM APPLICATIONS

Name: Parker Experience: I know all the basic ins and outs of the site, not the super heavy custom sheet tech though Little about me: I enjoy playing music quite a bit, and I know it's a bit of a cliche on this site but I'm really trying to get into voice acting. I love playing D&D as a creative outlet. I love Dming generally, but Ive been trying to get into a game as a player because I love the critical thinking involved with cleverly using the tools at your disposal. At this time, I've been playing D&D for about 2 1/2 years, most of that as a Dm. I can totally understand if you take a hard pass for someone with more experience. ___ Character: Galvyn Estrathe, Half Elf Fighter A capricious Half Elf from the rolling hills of The Free Green, Galvyn was son to a noble human farmer Haegris, and his elvish wife Nista. During his youth, he worked the fields and tilled the land as diligently as one may expect, but always felt the call of adventure from the lands beyond the hillside, always believing that his true calling was to be a traveling swordsman. Stout and loyal as a human, but with all the capricious tenacity of an elf. That's it I guess. I had some backstory ideas but I'll just keep it short and sweet here. Game sounds dope, the setting is really atmosphere rich and I hope to hear back from you!

Name: Adrian Experience: I've used the site a bit, about 50 hours as a player in Roll20 but I have about 2-ish years experience playing 5e DnD. No other TTRPG experience other than that tho (Except a game or two of Vampire) About me: I detailed my experience before but other than that I'm a 20 year old who's currently studying Criminal Justice. I've Dm'd a bit but thats on hold for now as I'm in college and all of my friends are an hour away and making the drive just to play DnD while I have school would be a bit annoying, and some of the friends I play with don't have internet. So playing DnD is a lot easier, at this point, then DMing. I look forward to a roleplaying experience. I like DnD because I really like fantasy, magic, exploring an unknown world. Character: Hilorgue Calrune, human (Variant) Divination wizard A studious, young wizard from the frozen stretch of Savsgrin Hilorgue spent his early years avoiding the cold and apprenticing as a scribe. This occupation thankfully possible due to him being raised in its walled capital, away from the stretches and towns that were vulnerable to raiders. Hilorgue spent this youth avoiding racial tensions and keeping himself out of most confrontations, preferring his cloister over politics. However politics eventually caught up to the cloister when one of their heads, a High Elf, was pushed into the public light over a relatively small issue: Something to do with a loaning book policy had reminded the general populace that one of the rulers was an elf and things exploded. The High Elf was basically ran out of his job, and town, and the cloister came under scrutiny. Hilorgue was one of the students that wound up cleaning up the mess that was left of the High Elf's room and came across his spellbook, adding it to one of the things he would study and catalog. Now an adult, Hilorgue is tired of the cold environment and wishes to see if he can possibly locate the High Elf that was ran out of town. His preferred magics, Divination, hopefully aiding him in this task. (That being said if he has access to sending or something he could be on the way to trying to find him then, or perhaps he gets no response and thinks he might be dead or unwilling to talk so he searches anyway) Hilorgue is quiet and is more willing to support fellow adventurers as opposed to take the spot light and rush in ahead (He is a robed wizard after all, very fragile). He's alert to danger around him, possibly due to his passive study of fate and the future, and sometimes seems to be thinking ahead of where he is and seems 'off'. For spells unrelated to divination Hilorgue prefers softer elements, things like water/ice/air. He doesn't dabble much in traditional arcane study, teleportation and summoning, and this may be because the spellbook of his mentor was almost entirely based around divination so his spells were a mix match of that and mimicking the frigid environment of where he lived.
Name: Kevin Experience: Only have about 50 hours in roll20, have gotten quite competent in that timeframe i'd like to think. About me: I'm a 27 Year old Canadian currently living around the Vancouver area working as a Chem Tech. I Live alone for the first time in my life and really quite enjoy the peace and quiet haha I've recently been introduced to roll20 and online campaigns as a whole and absolutely love the concept. My first experience with DnD i believe was 2E in my parents basement with my older brother and his friends. Now every time i play it's always so pack full of nostalgia and fun. I've always been a sucker for all rpg games and dnd is like the ultimate game for it and creating the perfect character you. Character: Niftan Humblebrew Class: Paladin (Sorceror possibly) Past: Niftan grew up in a small farming village amongst what may be perceived as lowly fear mongering simple folk. As Niftan grew older weirder and weirder events started happening(Live stock Going mad and attacking eachother, Lightning bolts (not so) coincidentally striking and burning down some families homes who did not care much for the Humblebrews.) As these occurrences became more frequent around Niftan and more profound and damaging to the village, Niftans god fearing parents decided this demon boy must have done something wrong in a past life and must make amends with the gods by doing their work. Niftan was sent and essentially sold off to an order of paladins and spent what was almost the rest of his youth doing menial mundane tasks for the order. After years and severe casualties to the order he was recruited and begun training. During the course of his training more severe occurrences were happening around him whether it be his task sergeants armor becoming white hot after physically afronting and scolding Niftan for an unsatisfactory completion of a task, to minor earthquakes on the orders grounds. to even occasionally some of the more curvaceous female paladins of the orders clothing or armor inexplicably turning invisible. On Niftans first assignment as a Paladin recruit he was sent out to scout a tomb which a local village had said a lich had been using as it's base to terrorize the local villages (Essentially a suicide mission to rid themselves of this Cursed troublesome individual) upon exiting the tomb after finding nothing inside, he came about the rest of his squad in a bloodbath of viscera limbs and gore. Feeling not much remorse for the fallen (as these were the people who had made his life a living hell and just sent him to go be bait) but a lot of fear of what could of done this, Niftan set out running through the forest as fast as he could. As he ran, he could hear something behind him, fast. Like Heavy linens being dragged along the ground as he peered back to see he hit his head on the limb of a tree. All Went Black. (Still working on some of his more intricate characteristics
