Age 1024 Centuries ago, legendary warriors who came to be known as the Z Fighters rose up to battle some of the most evil and powerful foes to ever threaten the world. More often than not, these battles revolved around the seven magical wish-granting orbs known as Dragon Balls. According to legend, when gathered together, the Dragon Balls could be used to summon the great dragon Shenron, who would grant any wish the user desired. The Z Fighters' mark on the world has been profound, and permanent. Son Gohan, a brilliant scientist as well as an incredibly powerful martial artist, revealed to the world the existence of the mystical life energy called ki in his masterpiece book, *Groundbreaking Science.* Several martial arts schools grew up in the wake of this life-changing revelation; Tien Shinhan's Crane school, Krillin's Turtle school, Trunks Briefs and Son Goten's Kikoukenjutsu dojo (which combined ki projection and swordsmanship), and Mr. Satan's Telecommunicated Satan-Style Martial Arts Course. A race of aliens called Namekians settled in an area called Porunga Rocks after their home planet, New Namek, was laid waste by an evil spacefaring threat. An entirely new race of beings, the Majins, came into being thanks to their progenitor, Mr. Buu. Today, the world is relatively peaceful. Martial arts has become a way of life for much of the population, and scientific breakthroughs such as space travel and artificial intelligence have changed the lives of many average Earthlings. Nearly two centuries ago, the Capsule Corporation's Dragon Radar technology stopped picking up the energy of the magic robs, and the legend of the Dragon Balls faded from historical fact into mythic folklore until it was nearly forgotten altogether. But then, last year, the myth was confirmed. In the middle of Satan City, the sky went dark, and a flash of light heralded the arrival of a gargantuan green dragon. This could only have meant one thing; the Dragon Balls were real, and someone had used them! Capsule Corporation began selling their Dragon Radar tech in various forms, and a global race for the Dragon Balls began. You've joined up with a team of adventurers on the journey for the orbs, but do you have what it takes to collect them all? ---------- System: Shonen Final Burst Self-Direction: Medium Combat: High Role-play: Medium Exploration: Medium-High Player Buy-in: The tone of this text game will be a mix of the martial-arts action and sci-fi of Dragon Ball Z and the mystical fantasy adventure of Dragon Ball. The time of Saiyans and Gods battling it out and creating craters with their energy beams has passed... for now. Relatively, the characters will begin at nearly zero strength when compared to the state of fighters in Z or Super, but your potential is unlimited. There will be no Super Saiyans (yet), and you may not begin play as a full-blooded Saiyan (because there are none). However, it is possible, if you play a human-type Earthling, to unlock hidden Saiyan blood to achieve the transformation later on down the line. Be prepared to fight a lot, search the sky and the sea below for Dragon Balls, and maybe even shout!
