Meta issues

Many forums have a meta forum in which such issues are addressed, questions about the forum itself and the site. I have such a question, where should I ask? It's about the rules.

Hi William, as long as the question pertains to Roll20, it's use or the implementation of mechanics within the VTT then the forums are fair game on the forums. Generally specific use is a good place to start (i'll move this there to free up your vote), we can always move it to more appropriate areas if needed. If your question is more directed to the development team and requires an official answer rather than a community 'debate' I'd encourage use of the team@roll20.net email address instead. All of that aside, whats up? :)
Hi there. I was wondering which map pack Adam Koebhel took his extra maps from in the official Roll20 Waterdeep Dragon Heist stream. Im particularly interested in the city street map he used for the gunslinger chase. Many thanks
Liam, Adam is fond of using Gabriel Pickard's battlemaps. The gunslinger chase map is one from the Village to Pillage - Big City Slums pack.
I'm wondering if there's an appropriate place I can advertise a discord server on Roll20.

Hi William! Generally speaking, posting Discord links on the public forums is going to go against the Intended Use clause of the Code of Conduct as well as the General Guidelines for the LFG Forums & LFG Tool (if posting an LFG thread or listing) From the Code of Conduct : The Roll20 Forums exist to discuss topics directly relating to the Roll20 program and systems. Anything that could more fittingly be discussed on another site should be discussed there. From the [Read First] Posting to LFG & Paid Games : We ask that users adhere to the following requests when creating a listing or post: [...] Refrain from publicly posting links to off-site communities (Discord, Facebook groups, etc.) on the LFG Forums and LFG Tools* *You may share this content in private (i.e. game details page, game forums, or sent via private message). The Roll20 forums are not a great avenue for Discord recruitment as they exist primarily as a help resource for the Roll20 platform and to arrange games on Roll20. We understand the desire to use Discord for communication purposes while in-game. As such, posting a link to your Discord within the Game Details Page of your game or within your Game Discussion Forum (Note: not the LFG Discussion Forum) is fine. Additionally, feel free to pass along discord links via private message to users who might be joining you in your games :) If you have other questions or would like to discuss this further feel free to send an email to Team@roll20.net
I'm trying to recruit French speakers. I wouldn't be offering to run a game, so your method won't work. It seems I'm out of luck on Roll20.

The LFG forum is for looking for a "Group" not just looking for a "Game." So you could post there, *en français* looking for a group of French speakers. Don't give up! *N'abandonnez jamais roll20*!
