It's been a while since I GM'd D&D so I was considering shaking off the rust by hosting a One-Shot pickup game for any of the newer players out there wanting to learn the game or just get a little more experience with it. I have an adventure framework planned for a weekly campaign but I've yet to run D&D on Roll20 so I want to better familiarize myself with the mechanics before starting that. I've always found just doing something is the best way to learn so here's putting that into practice. As for the pickup game: I'm not sure 100% if I want to run a little something in my setting or use The Master's Vault. I feel like a lot of the learning games on Roll20 seem to use the Master's Vault. There is nothing wrong with that, but I don't want to exclude people looking to learn a little more that have already played through it. For now, I'm going to think on it some more. Where Time is concerned: I'm in Central Standard Time(CST) and tend to start things later in the day. I'm aiming between 6-8PM as a start time. My games usually last between 3-6 hours, though I've gone as long as 8 if the group demands it and I'm not too burnt. I'm hoping to do this either Monday or Tuesday night, with preference being Tuesday. All communications will be handled on Discord through text channels. Video and Voice Chat can be daunting to people newer to D&D that aren't used to talking through RP so I want to accommodate them. After all, this is to help new players!
