2 New Players Lf Tutorial Pathfinder 3/18 or 3/20 (12:00pm CST or Later)

Hi guys, a friend and I are looking to learn tabletop gaming. After looking around we decided we wanted to try pathfinder. I bought the Advanced players guide, core rulebook, and Gm guide pdf's and have looked through those, but we are looking for someone who can run a tutorial campaign for us so we can actually learn through playing a bit. We are both off of work Tues and Thurs so either of those days would be best, but I will be out of town next week, so the week after would work better. Anytime between 12p.m. to 12a.m. would work for us.

I dont have the skill to run a campaign for you guys, I'm building one, but it'll take about 6 months to a year to complete, I do have some advice for you though. where do you want to start? the wiki has some great bits, & if you have questions about Pathfinder (kinda a variant of D&D it uses modified D&D 3.5 rules & is in my totally biased opinion , WAY better than 4e or D&D next.) you can read ALL of the books, just without pretty pictures, at paizo.com/prd (thats the official reference document) D&D, 4e you have to buy about 100 books just to get started, dont go that route unless all your friends play it. D&D 3.5you only really need the players manual to get started, & pathfinder, just go to the aforementioned website. If you have ANY questions at all, feel free to post them here, & I'll get back to you within a day or less. Game on! Michael Henson
I have nothing to do on Tuesday, so I would be happy to run the Beginner's Box, which can include walking through character creation and basic playing, and a dungeon that should take about a session. You can get in touch with me on Skype, my name is Askren- (with the dash) if that's fine. And if you want to shop around for a couple more new players wanting to learn too, that's fine. More people is always easier. And don't let the guy above me tell you 4E is worse than Pathfinder. They're both equally valid systems, and hell, if I had the time I could teach you both, as well as some AD&D. It's all good.
Its not that I don't respect 4e, its that I see it as costing more than its worth, to run a 3.5 campaign, you needed 3 books, to run a Pathfinder campaign, you really only need the core rulebook, to run a 4e campaign, you need, like 20+ books. & I really do enjoy playing 4e, its just that I enjoy the story more than the building of your character, 3.5 & Pathfinder focus on the story, & 4e ditches that for min-maxing, which is not to say that its not a fun system to play, its just that in my extremely biased opinion, Pathfinder is slightly superior.
& I learned on the beginners box, it helped SOOO much.
