Hello fellow Rollers! Let me begin by saying, as always, most things posted here are negotiable, so PM me for details. Now... I have returned, yet again, seeking urban cyberpunk fantasy adventure (Shadowrun 5e). This time around, I’ve managed to gather a more manageable party of 3-4 runners with a moderate amount of experience (at least 6 months’ worth). Each of us is an advocate of character development and story-driven decisions. Our characters are more than just stats blocks; they are living, breathing people with motivations and desires. Because of this, we were hoping to play a campaign that was more than just one-shots. Something with an overarching theme separate of the characters (even if that theme takes time to develop) that focuses less on them as runners and more on the interactions between them and the story elements. Said theme does not need to be prevalent in run/session, but it should hold at least potential significances in the things they do (i.e. a trip to the Stuffer Shack becomes a run from assassins, a milk run uncovers deadly secrets, etc.). Some good sources of inspiration are the Shadowrun Returns series, John Wick, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Mass Effect 1 and 2, and – discomfort intensifies – the Twilight Saga; stories in which relatively small actions (i.e. old friends’ request, murdered pet, angsty teenage mistakes, etc.) very quickly snowball into big consequences. Hopefully, I haven't frightened everyone off but if you were brave enough to stay, send us a message! It'll be fun, I swear!
