We are a group that enjoys the works of H.P. Lovecraft and the great game he inspired ... Call of Cthulhu (aka CoC). We are also open to other Mythos systems including GUMSHOE (Trail of Cthulhu) and Cthulhu Dark (a free indie game). AND we are open to new RPGers! The rules for CoC are very easy by modern standards and good for beginners. Since this is a horror-based genre, the games are HEAVY RP with almost no armed fighting . Get ready to solve a mystery and lose your mind. Here's an interesting fact, it transforms from a horror game to a semi sci-fi genre when your campaign goes on for awhile. How long can these things be scary when you've seen them so many times? After your character starts to learn enough to deal with the situation, you are then thrown into the Mythos' rich pseudo-science and bizarre historical back story of Earth. Several Mythos "creatures" are space aliens using perfectly normal super-science. But short one-shots are definitely meant to be in the horror genre, though. Something for everyone! The Cthulhu Cult
