Interest Check: CoC in a 90's highschool setting

Hey all, Lately I've had the idea to run a CoC campaign in a 90s/eary 2000s high school setting, going for a ' Veronica Mars meets Cthulhu ' feel. The game would be highly social, with lots of interaction with other PCs and NPCs, with the age of the characters being an added obstacle -- 'How am I going to explain to my Mom I was out till 3 am trailing a suspected cultist?' Typically I run games on a bi-weekly basis (Play 1 week, have 1 week off) and would probably look to Thursdays, Saturdays, or Sunday evenings Pacific time to run this. Does this sound fun to any of you arcane researchers?
I'm definitely interested. I seem to have the most fun in young adult urban fantasy style games. Teenagers hunting Eldritch horrors sounds like a blast. Depending on start date I should be available any of those days. I have a Sunday evening game currently but if we don't screw up tonight should be the last session. I prefer weekly games to keep the momentum flowing but I'm good with biweekly. I just have to put on my patience hat. :-)
this definitely sounds interesting, certainly a good setting for a great amount of RP potential. weekly games work better, but biweekly is fine. your Thursday and works best for me, but if the other days happen I may be able to work with those days.
I might be interested in a game like this!
Seems like a good concept. Like Heathers with mythos crap. The world is not prepared.
Hope there won't be a version of the stepford wives in it, but it would make sense...or would that be more college?
what time would this be
-rolls up a Wallace-like character- when? haha
Hey all, I got some updates for you: Sadly, I found out I'm going to be in school Thursday nights so I decided on every-other Saturday evening. I know that's not a good time for some of you, but atm it's the best I can do. I have an LFG page up with applications and details about what kind of monstrosity game I'm trying to run. If this link is busted, you should be able to find it by searching Call of Cthulhu on roll20's game search: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/140459/call-of-cthulhu-miskatonic-high-199x
Yes this sounds interesting and fun. I would be interested.
Oh, I probably should have deleted this post or something, because it's over a year old lol. We're not recruiting now, but for anyone curious this game started and we have been playing for over a year now... so I guess there WAS interest for this kinda game :D
Sounds like a cool concept. I would be interested.
