Offline/Local Play Question

I'm new to Roll20 and so I'm not sure how it works. I have a local group of players and I wanted to buy a campaign through Roll20 in order to utilize the pre-built maps for the campaign. I'm not sure how it works though. My thought was I'd have a TV setup flat on a table and I would display a map and I can move the characters as they needed to be moved through a dungeon, all rolls and combat would be handled with real dice/paper. Is this possible with Roll20?

Hello Rene and welcome to Roll20. Using Roll20 in an in person game is totally doable. We have a wiki page specifically for that for there are groups of people that do just that. There are threads you can look for also that are about in person games using Roll20. Wiki: https://wiki.roll20.net/Using_Roll20_while_Playing_In-Person
My favorite way to play is with a few people in the room together on separate laptops and a few others "out there" on the Internet to round out the party. This combination kept the game moving along pretty well and kept our old group together, even after some of us moved around the country. BTW, My friends just put out a new module that they designed specifically for gamers who are new to roll20. I am totally biased (I created most of the art for the module and was one of the original players) but me and the rest of the players thought it was great. It starts off with lots of combat at first, to get you into the "swing" of things (pun intended) but gets more epic by the end. https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/module/110/seven-days-at-ranger-fort
