I am looking for 4-5 players to join my homebrew campaign. It will include a mix of character driven plots and sandbox mechanics. Most races included here https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/races are welcomed. The only ones I won't allow are Aarakocra and Changling's as I feel like they have abilities that can break the game. The sessions will have a mix of combat and roleplay, some sessions it will be more roleplay heavy and some sessions will be more combat heavy. It will vary from time to time.I have two important rules that I would like my players to stick by: Be considerate of other players and be committed to the campaign. I understand that real life gets in the way, but try to show up most of the time. I would prefer no evil characters but if you can convince me that you aren't going to go around killing everyone I may allow it. Games will be Friday's 7PM EST. This will be a weekly game and will run about 3 hours, give or take ten minutes. Voice chat via Discord is required sorry. The Story The year is in 1501. The country has been split into independent nations. You find yourself in the nation of Ascar, deep in the south where laws are only considered not followed. Many wrong doers fled here when the humans settled in Ascar. It is a dangerous place full of thieves, bandits and other more sinister things. You are being transported in a cage, your destination you do not know. Around you sit strangers, you only have one thing in common. You have all been blessed or some might say cursed with a mutation, giving you abilities that some dream of but also cursing you to a life of prejudges. As far as you know, you are the only ones but you have had rumors that there could be more. You know one thing, if you do not work together to escape you might never see the light of day again. Application Your name and age: Your experience with D&D (Can leave this blank if you're new): Your favorite moment in D&D: What class and race you would like to play: Pitch me a backstory (doesn't have to be long) Any questions? feel free to drop a comment or message me. Have a good day.
Your name and age: David ,19 Your experience with D&D (Can leave this blank if you're new): 2 years of 5e, about 1 of roll20 Your favorite moment in D&D: The time my party managed to defeat a lich only to have our resident wizard then replace the lich. What class and race you would like to play: A druid dwarf Pitch me a backstory (doesn't have to be long): Ulysses rockiron was always interested in nature, this being in contrast to his fellow dwarven kin who enjoyed the cold embrace of stone trodden caves and mines. Ulysses sought to understand the true power of nature and how he could possibly become one with it.
Your name and age: Liam, 19 Your experience with D&D (Can leave this blank if you're new): 1 year or so of 5e, two campaigns on roll20 and one campaign on Fantasy Grounds. Your favorite moment in D&D: That one time we made a kid wizard drink his ass off in a bar and then he rolled fireball on the wild magic table, nearly instantly killing everyone, including our favorite barkeep. RIP Bedamin. What class and race you would like to play: Halfling Barbian Pitch me a backstory (doesn't have to be long) Wimple lived in a twin village of gnomes and halfings until a large group of humans enslaved the halflings and gnomes and set up a midget arena for them to fight in. Wimple proved to be the most fierce shortling out of his brethren but at what cost. Fed up with slaying his people he planned an escape with many others. Many escaped and many did not and now Wimple is on a search for gold and friends to save the rest of his people one day. Thanks for considering! ~Liam
Your name and age: Shannon 44 Your experience with D&D (Can leave this blank if you're new): I've been playing for the last couple of years in a bi-weekly campaign Saturday afternoons. Your favorite moment in D&D: After my character, Damaia, died the group held the most beautiful funeral for her. What class and race you would like to play: Tiefling Bloodhunter Pitch me a backstory (doesn't have to be long): At the age of 5 I witnessed the brutal and messy murder of my parents by a group of the Undead while I hid under the floorboards. I spent my life since going from home to home, unable to allow myself to grow close to anyone yet needing the contact of others. As I grew to adulthood the determination to never be hurt solidified within my soul and the opportunity arose to take the path of the bloodhunter. I never looked back. I do have a couple of other characters I can go with as well.
Your name and age: Zach, age 24 Your experience with D&D: About 7 years. AD&D for the first 2 or 3, and 5th edition for the rest. Your favorite moment in D&D: In one of the first AD&D campaigns I played, the party (I think we were around 6th level) stumbled upon the prison of a Demon Prince in the lower levels of a dungeon we were exploring. The DM gave a suitably intimidating introduction ("BOW BEFORE THE DEMON PRINCE OF THE GNOLLS, MORTALS!") with accompanying gravelly voice and gestures (we were playing in person at the time). The party stood frozen in surprise and fear for a moment. And then the tension was broken when the party's Half-Orc Fighter, in this high-pitched, almost cutesy voice, responds: "Are you stuck down here?" Everybody, including the DM, burst out laughing. Even now, some 5 or 6 years later, the group sometimes mentions the incident for a chuckle. What class and race you would like to play: I usually prefer to choose once I roll stats and know the classes of the rest of the party, but if I had to pick now: Goblin Fighter (Arcane Archer)/Wizard (Divination) multiclass. Pitch me a backstory (doesn't have to be long) : Once the leader of a gang of Goblins that lived like rats in the sewers of a city, Beks was ambushed and captured by unknown assailants. These assailants performed a series of magical experiments on Beks that enhanced the Goblin's intellect. Beks kept this well-hidden from his captors, and they eventually decided that their experiments had reached a dead end. They sold Beks off to another organization, who put him in a cage with other mutants. As he was being moved to this new prison, Beks began to realize that the experiments had granted him more knowledge and power than he first realized (as represented by choosing the Arcane Archer subclass and eventually multiclassing to Wizard). Beks now seeks to escape, uncover more information about his original captors and the experiments performed on him, and use them to enhance the intelligence of his old gang (and perhaps all Goblins) so that they can be recognized as equal to Humans, Elves, and other civilized races.

Your name and age: Wisna Keo, 23 Your experience with D&D (Can leave this blank if you're new): I've played D&D ever since I was 13. Your favorite moment in D&D: The Paladin and I were in an underwater tomb searching for a legendary fabled sword for him. Reaching the center of the tomb we came face to face with a giant electric leviathan and did battle with it. The creature flooded the tomb, making us fight underwater. During the battle the Paladin was swallowed whole and would have died from the creature's stomach acids. I, the fighter, unable to see the creature in the dark water decided to play dead and lure the leviathan towards me, which succeeded. Now in front of me I swung my long sword swiftly five times and cleaved the monster apart, freeing the Paladin. From its remains we found a hilt of a sword, which I deemed worthless, but was in fact the Sun Blade. What class and race you would like to play: An Arcane Trickster/Bladesinger Gnome Pitch me a backstory (doesn't have to be long): Having grown up on stories of heroic Humans, Elves, and Dwarves, Zeferel Dubois noticed that there were no legends sung of gnome heroes. He decides to set out on an adventure to become the first gnome hero, and do to a fateful encounter with an elf he has been taught how to use bladesinging. (I have more ideas as well, this is just one.)

Your name and age: Daniel (aka Yoh) 34 Your experience with D&D (Can leave this blank if you're new): About 8-9 months give or take, been pretty consistently playing every week. Your favorite moment in D&D: A festival our party had been working towards since early in the campaign. What class and race you would like to play: Aasimar ? The Gelatinous Convocation Warlock. (yes I'm serious) Pitch me a backstory (doesn't have to be long) : Pina doesn't remember much of her childhood. Pina does remember the robed men who took her away. Pina remembers the glass room they put her in, and the tests they did, and the jello they gave her afterwards. Day after day. Some of the other kids came back, others didn't. Until it was Pinas time to not come back. When Pina opened her eyes she saw the stars, first time in a long time, how long had it been since Pina saw the stars. Just floating there, endlessly, and then the noise. 'ooooooooooooolooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo' Pina looked up to see a big jello, a really really big jello. And it looked back with it's hundred eyes. And it wasn't alone. I have a bunch of different characters I could play, but to be honest I just want to play a dumb slime girl. It uses a bit of homebrew content mind you. And no this isn't a joke character, even if the base premise is quite funny.

Your name and age: Bab, 21 Your experience with D&D (Can leave this blank if you're new): I'm still relatively new to D&D, having only started earlier this year. I've mostly been playing one shots with friends via Discord and Roll20, but recently I've joined a local Adventurers League alongside my roommates that we go to every Wednesday night. That being said, I've spent a lot of time studying the rules and mechanics of 5E, so there's no need to worry about teaching me how to play as the session goes on. Your favorite moment in D&D: My party and I were tasked with infiltrating a very populated party to steal something valuable. Something that we weren't told the exact details of, and only that it'd be obvious once we found it. Welp, turns out the something was a quarter ton stone sphere imbued with magical properties strong enough to grant someone the ability to destroy an entire city. How'd we get the ball out without drawing any attention you say? Pouring an invisibility potion on top of it and rolling the sucker to the top floor and dropping it off the balcony. Thankfully we had a group of people proficient in performance, and with one quick theatrical show involving pyrotechnics, a half assed trapeze act, and a Guns and Roses level musical lead, we were able to get the ball outta there and receive our payments scott free. What class and race you would like to play: Half-Elf Bard Pitch me a backstory (doesn't have to be long) A young man was born to a rather poor family, and as a result, his father took it upon himself to install the art of sleight of hand and thievery into him and his two siblings as a way to provide for the family. This tradition went on well into his adolescence, and the three actually worked quite well as a trio. However, the man had always found himself fascinated with music. Often times becoming infatuated by tavern bards and street performers. Eventually, the man learned that with the right training, you can spellcast through song. So he began educating himself on all things music, picking up whatever instruments that were at his disposal to find what made his arcanic muscles tick. And before long, he found what he was looking for. Opting to leave home to pursue a life a music while continuing his ventures with melodic spellcasting, and promising to return home when he's earned enough coin to bring his family out of poverty.
