[LFP][5E][FREE]New GM looking for Test Subj- er Players (Monday Evenings EST)#OotA #DarkerDungeons #Newbie #Queer #Disabled

Hey, so I'm completely new to GMing and looking for anyone who's willing to put up with my complete and total lack of experience. I'm going to be running Out of the Abyss, which is a prefab adventure with some survival horror elements for those who don't know. As a result this campaign will touch on some darker themes and you'll also have to pay a bit more attention to your inventory, food supplies, stress levels and the like. I'm also going to be using some rules from Darker Dungeons (a collection of new rules, mechanics, and tweaks to existing content), I'll try to go over them as they come up during the campaign and you can also read the pdf if you want to know what you're getting into ahead of time. The campaign will be starting at level 1, and I'm going to include the class/race/etc tables from Darker Dungeons if people want to randomize their characters(This is completely optional though). We'll probably be using Discord for voice chat, and roll20 for battlemaps/handouts/etc, depending on what everyone's most comfortable with. If you want more information, have concerns, want content warnings, etc feel free to let me know ^^

A quick update, we're at 4 players now so this campaign will almost certainly be running, right now the first session is planned for Monday January 7th at 5:00 PM EST. Since we have room for one more I thought I'd keep this post up until then. Cheers all ^_^

Hi. I haven’t played D&D in about 30 years but want to get back into it. I will have to relearn all the rules, as well as how to fully use Roll20. Your horror tinged adventure sounds exciting   I have been fooling around with the creation of two character on D&D Beyond, either of which could work depending on your party needs.    There is Brune, a Halfling Monk with a criminal background. He seeks spiritual fulfillment but struggles to leave behind his old criminal ways. He was raised by humans and has human sensibilities but is curious about his Halfling heritage. Most likely will choose Way of Shadow when he reaches 3   Then there is Broe Arnuanna, a High Elf Rogue who uses magic, stealth, and deception to rob people blind. He does it more for sport than out of greed, taking pride in his work. He is an old fashion criminal in the sense he believes in a code of honor - keep your word, don’t steal from your friends & business partners, only take from people who can afford it). He loves a good carefully planned heist, but also has problems controlling his impulses. He has a weakness for gems. He will choose Arcane Trickster at 3
