Question about T&C

So the terms and conditions of roll20 makes some mention of questionable content being a bannable offense. So I'm a bit curious about the extent of this policy. Assuming it's all done via text (no pornographic or gory images being uploaded and used as handouts), where is the line drawn? PG-13? R? X? I tend to be pretty violent in combat descriptions, and I'm running a pre-packaged scenario for my campaign that takes place on a scifi red light district. Am I going to get my account terminated for mentioning brothels and describing combat?
Pretty sure they mean on the forums. No one monitors what you do or type in your games. That would be weird.

The public forums are a lot stricter on this than private campaigns. Since the public forums are public, the forums are kept as PG and PC as possible so that everyone feels welcome. That includes thread discussions, avatar images, links and attached images that get posted to the forums. A private campaign can run the gamut of maturity ratings. So long as the content and behavior of its players within the campaign doesn't involve real life illegal activity, it shouldn't be an issue. Ultimately, we just want everyone playing in an OOC safe environment so they feel comfortable playing whatever styled genre they choose from My Little Pony to Corpse Party. My only advice in your situation, Maina, is make sure your entire gaming group is aware and is comfortable with any sort of mature content in the campaign before jumping in and playing it. Also, if you're using the LFG tool, make sure the actual "face" advertising your campaign is PG since LFG is public for everyone to view.
Thanks very much. And yeah, no interest in offending anybody. I tend to err on the side of caution, but it's good to know the official policy when and if it should come up.

Not to mention they would be heavily breaking the privacy of Roll20 users. The privacy policy only says the Orr Group will not access "customer data" (save for customer support issues), and it only defines "personal data" as Name/Display Name, Email, and IP Address. The Privacy Policy is specifically written in English and not Legalese, so this section of the policy is unfortunately vague. A strict interpretation of the policy doesn't lend itself to the conclusion that a Roll20 mod would be breaking any site rules by viewing your private campaign forum, however a more loose interpretation suggests that they may only do so in the course of customer support.
There are 340,817 campaigns at this particular moment. We really, really, really have zero interest in moderating or observing them. What you do around your "table" is your business, so long as we are not notified of it being law breaking (just like you real living room table).
