Not sure I get what's happening though: did you have a character you created manually, and launch the Charactermancer from the Configuration tab? In that case, "Discard and Exit" (if used before applying the choices made in the Charactermancer), is supposed to get you back to the character sheet with the original data. But if, at one point, you used the "Apply" button, all original data from the Character have been erased and replaced by the choices made in the Charactermancer.
