Need assistance with a dynamic lighting issue.

Hello all. I am trying to light a scene of a small crypt and I am getting some behavior that I cannot track down. This image:  Example 1 shows the scene as it is laid out. There is only 1 light source (the white dot that will normally be hidden on the DL layer, to simulate ambient outside lighting). Looks good from here with the shadows from the columns and such. When I select the token and use CTRL-L, the view changes to this:  Example 2 Note the second set of shadows from the columns as well as the expected original shadows. This second set moves around when I move the token, even though the token is not emitting light. The light source token is not set with vision so I am fairly sure that the selected character is not seeing through its eyes. I have tried this using the GM account and a test account in a separate browser as well as using separate map pages.  What am I doing incorrectly? Thanks in advance.

This is expected behavior. The second set of "shadows" denotes areas that the token cannot see, even though they may be illuminated.
This third example is from the separate browser as seen from the owner of the character. It shows the same shadows as the second example above.  Example 3 If I understand what you are saying, then, is that the extra shadows are not actually shadows but just areas hidden by the objects casting the shadows. Makes sense but sure does look odd.
Try giving the token its own light, albiet with a smaller radius, just so you can see the effect that will have on your scene as well.
I am assuming you added circles to make those pillars. Roll20 has a bit of an issue with splines making shadows have odd behaviour, a trick for getting around this is to draw an X or + as pillars.
Excellent suggestions! Thank you
