Question about last session

Did the impending invasion influence the price of mechanical parts up or down? What kind of forces do the PCs think that the Count has?
>>Did the impending invasion influence the price of mechanical parts up or down? Interesting question.  What steps would you (can you) take to determine that.  Then, what can you do with the answer? >>What kind of forces do the PCs think that the Count has? Another interesting question.  Can you think of anyone who might know what information the other players possess?

>>What kind of forces do the PCs think that the Count has? That was an open question to other players. I'm trying to get an idea of the scale of combat, but given how well equipped the Count's forces were, it was impressive. >>Did the impending invasion influence the price of mechanical parts up or down? I just want to clarify, I left before the sale of the goods was completed and the way the conversation was going at the time was that the PCs were going to tell the local leader about the force buildup in system before discussing the sale of the goods. I was just curious as to whether or not you explicitly told the PCs how such news would influence price. Since I wasn't there, I'm just asking this as an open question to anyone who was there. My understanding of microeconomics is cursory at best, and there are a lot of variables that could influence the price in either direction with that news as the constant. Edit: The factors in my mind are what the effects of the invasion would be, what the time frame would be before that would occur, and how useful mechanical parts would be within that time frame.
