News for Starfinder Compendium?

Trying to start a Starfinder game for my friends and having to input every single small detail is getting to be a bit too much of a chore. Is there any news on the Starfinder Compendium being uploaded or does anyone know of any way that I can add in things quickly like I can with our 5e campaigns? Any help is appreciated. Thanks all

Hi Alex, The Starfinder Alien Archive was released in December as the first book of the Starfinder compendium for all your NPC needs.
I saw that, but the Core Rulebook has not been released it seems, which is odd to have an addon compendium before the core book. Do you have the core races and classes added in addition to everything encompassed in the Alien Archive? Trying to adapt the Dead Suns campaign from the PDF and its excruciatingly slow to have to punch most of the information in. While I know the Core Rulebook does not have everything that the Dead Suns campaign offers, it would certainly speed things up with the equipment, spells, etc. to setting up the campaign.

I think it makes a lot of sense to add the alien archive/monster manual first, as the drag and drop functionality from those is much more frequently used (especially by the party purchasing it). I'll say that, for me, the vast majority of encounters in Dead Suns used monsters from Dead Suns specifically, so when running that, the Alien Archive would not have been much help. One possible method, which I didn't try, and which may require pro to utilize, would be to make a game with the old HUD sheet, use the importer on your Dead Suns NPCs, and then transmogrify it over to the official sheet game. I'm just not sure how compatible the old HUD sheet characters are with the official sheet now. They seemed to copy over fine initially, but lots of changes have happened since.

They should  still be compatible. The sheet does updates in order from oldest to newest, so there shouldn't be an issue. That said, it's not real feasible for me to test upgrading from every version of the sheet with every release.

Also, Alex, I can't mention more at this time, but I'll quote trivias response to a similar question : Currently the Starfinder Compendium contains Alien Archive. Core races, equipment, and spells are part of the Starfinder Core Rulebook, which we do not sell at this time, but are getting the architecture in place for.
Glad to hear that Scott, and excited for when it does come out. In terms to why I felt the Core Rulebook should have come out first is just because it is still a game in its infancy and many of the rules, spells, character aspects, weapons/armor/gear, etc. would be much easier to apply in terms of proper roles from the sheet and proper integration throughout the campaigns and adventures. I do completely agree that the Alien Archive is a great thing to have for the GMs setting up custom/homebrew games for ease of alien creations and implementation, but just overall I myself feel that the Core Rulebook should have come first, or even better, both released at the same time to cover all aspects of the game. Moving on though, I will definitely try to use the older version of the character sheet and attempt to import the characters and go from there. I'm assuming its just the Starfinder Simple sheet now? The HUD does not show up in the list of character sheets. I appreciate the responses and the possible solution. Keep up the good work, and looking forward to all the future implementations for this game series.
