How to get multiple monsters not to auto copy each other's HP variation.

Here's my problem: I am the DM. (D&D 5e, MM/SRD monsters) I recently have had happen that if I make more than one monster or NPC by dragging into the page (gnolls, bug bears, Scouts and hobgoblins have all done this). I then put a new name on each one on the sheet, so that they can be differentiated, but they all still reduce HP all-at-once when one takes damage. Frustrating to deal with during a combat. (Yes, I am keeping track of the HP using pencil and paper on the side. ) Here is what it looks like. *grimaces* OK, the site refuses to load the two small . jpg pictures. The problem to solve is still this: disassociate the duplicated NPC's monsters from each other after I have created them, so that when one takes damage they don't all take damage. There is probably a really simple answer, but I am not seeing it.

If you have a sheet with the default token setup to the hp, it stays linked even if you change the sheet name till you unattach the token from the sheet. You need to take the token, unlink the correct bubble from the attribute (hp for this) and make that token the default token then. More info here: https://wiki.roll20.net/Linking_Tokens_to_Journals

If you prefer video to word things, you can watch this , too. I step through the process and explain as I go.

Frustrating, but I am glad we didn't need a picture to explain the problem. EDIT: OK, got it figured out. I have a few things I'd like to streamline, but I will worry about that later. Thanks for the help.
