Newbie player looking for a game

I'm new to Roll 20 and D&D although I've played a few games (of D&D not any roll20 games), and completely new to all other tabletop rpg's. Is there any group that would be willing to introduce me to roll20's system?

Can you specify what your asking? Do you just want to be introduced to roll20 or are you looking for a game or what?

Also pardon me for double posting, but I'm not sure: Do you need a webcam and mike to play all or most games? Sorry if this is offtopic but I need to know.

Belenus in your response to your question, I'm mainly looking for a game, and incidentally will be introduced to roll 20. Total newbie here. Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.

To play most games, yes, a microphone is all but needed; some games' DMs will let you get by with typing, as long as you can hear the rest of the group, but most prefer voice chat of some sort. On the other hand, I've yet to find a game where video is required. Then again, I wouldn't join a game that required video, as I don't own a webcam. Keep watching this forum... look for games for new players, or newbie friendly ones. Most gamers will gladly help welcome you into the community, focus on the type of game you think you'd enjoy most. -Phnord

Unfortunately I don't have a mike yet and I have no plans to get skype (privacy issues). But thank you for offering.

I dont know yet if that will be an issue, I figure that at least a couple of people will be without mikes, so if you're interested you can still give it a go...
