Textfields don't align properly in playerview

Within a campaign, the GM creates a few textfields and aligns them properly with either the Grid or without. A player looking at the page will however see the text not properly aligned. This problem gets worse the longer the longest line of text is, it seems. Joining as player doesn't affect it. Different browsers don't affect it either. If the GM (by turning the Grid of) 'misaligns' the textfields on his view, they align on the players view. It's really confusing. Obviously this is not a super urgent problem, but with any GM who likes things orderly this is a problem. Feedback from players confirmed that this bug has been around for years and just no one pointed it out to me. Hello Mouse, We are sorry to hear that you're having this issue. To rule out any other potential issues, we ask that you and your players please carefully work through these steps of our guide to Solving Technical Issues ? Step 1: Make sure to use the right browser Please check if these issues persist when using both Chrome and Firefox. Step 2: Ensure that there are no extensions/addons interfering with Roll20 Please disable all add-ons/extensions. Step 3: Clear your cache If none of the above succeeds, we ask that you and your players please thoroughly work through Step 4 . (Don't forget the complete Console Log!) Thank you!

Hm, so you think its an individual issue? Both me and my player already tried chrome and firefox, there was no difference. On Chrome I don't have anything going on that should interfere with roll20 as I mostly use it just to doublecheck this kind of stuff or whether an addon is acting up. I could check if it happens with 2 'blank' chromes on either side as well though. Clarification for step 4: So you want me to creaate a text field with long text and have my player watch it, then copy paste our respective console logs? Seems a bit odd honestly, it doesn't seem to be on the client side imho. But sure, we'll do it if it'll help.
Hi Mouse. I'm not sure what may be causing it, and it may be a legitimate bug. What we try and do is collect as much info as possible about the issue so we can forward it to the devs. You can also check if others are experiencing similar issues on the forums, such as in the Bug & Feedback Thread Repository . Here is the Text Editor Update Bug Report Thread .
Hi Mouse, Does this text seem to snap to grid or anything when you move it around? If you attempt this on a new page does it still occur? What about in a new game?

It definitely snaps to grid on my end, yes. New pages or different campaigns don't make a difference it seems, this has been happening for years and was only pointed out to me now because part of the text was unreadable on the players' view. Usually it's the 'start' (the pregenerated one) that contains longer textfields - though the pictured example is from a copy of said page. I'll try and get some logs from me and a player if that helps, might take a couple of days but hopefully tomorrow. edit: Just clarifying that the textfields don't snap when the grid is deactivated of course. Doesn't change their positioning though (for my or the players' view)
Okay, sorry for the delay - here are a load of links for you guys to look at. First is a pic from my view on a fresh page, second is the player view. Then there is the GM log and the playerlog. Web Browser - Chrome for me, Firefox for the player Browser Version - Version 71.0.3578.98 (Offizieller Build) (64-Bit) , 65.0 (64-bit) Operating System - Windows 10 for both If Javascript is enabled - yes for both Your anti-virus software - Windows Defender for both List of any browser add-ons or extensions enabled - I made sure to disable all addons before logging and so did the player, so blank https://up.picr.de/35014154qs.png https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/210473030202163201/542780321993719818/playerpic.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/hm2kjak9zg1quz6/GMLOGapp.roll20.net-1549479234225.log?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/upx9g3tgbw4gy7p/playerlog.txt?dl=0
