Hello Roll20, I'm Matt, a fun loving DM who's looking for some adventurers to take on iconic and exciting adventures. I've been running for all sorts of wonderful people here in the Roll20 community, and this time, we are opening a brand new game of Storm King's Thunder to take place Saturday evenings (8pm Eastern) . We'll be starting at level 5! This is a great opportunity not only for first time players, but veterans who are looking to get into some high fantasy with a kick start. Our group already consists of 4 great heroes who've completed the introductory adventure of Lost Mines of Phandelver, and are looking to move on to more daring and dangerous expeditions. As a result, we're looking for one final player for our roster! Sessions should be  about 4 hours , with a few breaks in the middle. It should be a fun ride! With a lot of supplemental content, extra resources and a lot of experience running the setting, it's bound to be an adventure very different from your usual table. I've a lot of experience running premium games, and am pretty conscious about what people expect from them. The first game is free, come see if you like it! Our games and group are very new player friendly! We may be starting at level 5, but we're more than happy to walk you through character creation if thats something new to you. By the end of the introductory content, even as a brand new player, you should be comfortable with the game and its systems. If you're a veteran but have never played a written campaign before, it has a lot to offer - hopefully with you joining us. You can find more info about me and the campaign in the LFG post, linked below. The games all feature the full weight of a   Roll20 Pro subscription   (custom sheets, API scripts, great dynamic lighting effects, sound and music if that's your thing too), and all the experience of a GM with thousands of hours running games for the community. I've also purchased every official publication and compendium to use, along with several from reputable publishers such as Kobold Press' material, and supplements that definitely add to each of the different adventures in their own way. Plenty to see and explore!  The  games listed are pay to play. If you're not sure if this type of game is right for you,  you can visit my old feedback thread , or jump into our Discord and talk to any of the players playing my other current running games. Check out the LFG post for the game here, where you can apply to play! This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $15 USD per session via PayPal (first game is free!). Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements.
Hi! My name's Raegan, and I've been playing with this lovely GM since December. Before joining up with our party, I hadn't ever played D&D before. I'd seen a few podcasts and streams of the game, but I was too nervous to actually play. Everything seemed so complicated, but I absolutely love writing and storytelling, so I knew D&D was something I wanted to try. I eventually bit the bullet and submitted my application, only to be shocked by not only how fast I was responded to, but by how welcoming everyone was. Party members helped me with my backstory, spell selection, builds, the works. Distorted was extremely patient with me, and honestly is the main reason I stuck around past the first few sessions. It's been a little over 2 months, and I can honestly say I've had such a good time, and playing with this group is something I look forward to every week. We might be a little ditzy, and yeah, my first character got one shotted by a dragon, but it was probably the most engaging, fun thing I've done in a while.     What followed was heart-wrenching, and helped me immerse myself into the party and the story. The death felt meaningful and was treated as such. If you're worried about being new to the game, don't be. Trust me, if a 19-year-old sorority girl can figure it out, anyone can. And if you're seasoned, did I mention my first character, ever, got one shotted by a dragon? I promise we're a fun, relaxed group with a lot of heart, and I'm sure you'll fit right in! I'm sure I speak on behalf of my party when I say that we can't wait to meet you!
