For D&D 5e, is there a way to nest the macros in an attack? So that a macro is used when the player clicks their attack? I can't figure it out myself
There's a section in the Roll20 wiki about Nesting Macros if you haven't come across it yet. Hopefully there will be information in there that will give you some ideas.
If a character has several macros, and you want to run some of them with a single click, you can create another macro, that will call all those macros, and make that meta-macro a token action.
