Here you can apply to join the game etc and check out the time for the 1st Session which will most likely stay the same for the following session! Thanks everyone! Hey everyone, I just joined roll20.net recently and I am about to play my first dungeon crawl soon as James B. has been so kind as to take in a lot of new players and show us the ropes. Anyways, I suppose I should start with the important stuff and I'll end up with the less important stuff.... So! I want to start a group for beginners or people who are returning to d&d and feel a bit like a beginner and if there is the off chance that a sweaty grizzly d&d vet wants to join in and DM (or whoever feels confident enough to DM) well I'd be damned to say no! I want to start a tight knit group (I'd say no more than 4-6 players and one DM , still trying to decide the specifics on that) that plays every week , we start from level 1 . it'll be d&d 3.5 and we progress and learn how to play d&d together as we go along, so having some patience with each other and a desire to have fun and play and learn d&d is instrumental! I would personally love to try my hand at DM'ing but I have still some ways to go before I grasp the systems and rules all together. I am currently still reading the players handbook, so I haven't even started on the Dungeon masters guide. However I will soon enough! :) It would be nice if there were others in the group who'd like to DM and learn how to, so we can take turns at it! As much as I like the idea of DM'ing, I also like the idea of "just" being a player. So far, I got one old friend who used to play a good amount of D&D when he was a kid. But he's not so much a kid anymore and he is pretty rusty albeit when he starts to shake some of that rust off, I am sure he will get into the swing of things a bit faster than some of us absolute beginners might. Personally I only played Sword and Wizardry pen and paper role playing games as a kid and youngster.. I did however make home-brew versions and homemade adventures and I even collaborated with my old friend up there and we made our own role-playing game as young teenagers. At any rate! Please let me know if what I've said grabs your attention and you feel like you would fit in! P.S any vets reading this, if you can direct me to some good starting adventures for new players and/or resources or hints etc. anything ! basically! :) Let me know! I'd appreciate any hints/tips!
