Total Newb to Roll20 and API

Hello all! I have recently joined Roll20 and am getting ready to run my first game. I did also recently play my first game and it had some cool API and Macros in it. I would love to learn more about them, but am having a hard time getting started. First off, forgive my complete newbishness here: I have been reading on where to start though the wiki and what I need to know. I cannot even find the way that is described to get into place my API Script. What am I missing here (and yes, I know it may very well be in front of my face)? Second, I would appreciate a good guide or video link on the basics. Please keep in mind, I have no JavaScript experience. Finally, I would like to have just a couple of basics that help quality of life, game run more smoothly. If I can successfully use those, I will look for more later. Help is greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Aaaand, I think I just realized what my first problem is. I have a Plus membership, and not a Pro. Would someone with more knowledge be able to confirm this?

Hi Ryan! You are correct, you need to be a Pro level subscriber to use the API. This page will show you what you get at the different subscription levels.
