Indicate that voice/video broadcast settings are on, even when no other players are logged in

Currently, Roll20 only reminds me that I am broadcasting when other users are logged into the system. Imagine the following situation: I've logged in so that I can work on some maps and character sheets for the next session. At some point, I turn my back on the screen to have a personal conversation with somebody. In the meantime, Player Bob logs on to check his XP, and my Roll20 client starts broadcasting. Player Bob sticks around to hear the juicy details, and is now blackmailing me to get that stupid +4 Ring of Protection that he always wanted. It would be cool if my chat avatar reminded me of my broadcast settings at all times.

It's a good suggestion, and a good explanation of why it's needed. This has been suggested before but I think it was on the old suggestions forum. I don't know if there is another matching thread in the voting yet.

I'm pretty sure Roll20 doesn't broadcast video/voice when you're the only person at the tabletop. The problem is that when Bob logged in, they immediately started running. Perhaps an audio signal that someone has logged in?

Perhaps an audio signal that someone has logged in? An audio signal that someone logs in, wouldn't necessarily protect against this. Imagine the situation is as follows: GM enters the game table (Audio/video is "ON" but isn't broadcasting anything because no one else is present). GM works on campaign for 3 hours. GM falls asleep, or goes in another web tab and forgets Roll20 is open & leaves the desk, perhaps for 1 hour, perhaps it's 12 hours. Player enters the game table. Audio-video starts up. Player doesn't hear much because the GM isn't even home. All seems quiet on the other end. GM gets home from lunch, or awakens from nap, GM commences private conversation with his housemate in the same room as the laptop. Boom. Player is accidentally spying on GM via webcam. Whoops.
