Youtube functionality???

Hi all, Just came from the hell-hole that is the new Fanburst shutdown announcement. sub vs. free... lets talk about toxic. Anyhow, most of the music I want is easy enough to get my hands on, don't mind doing leg work, but people were implying you could just have youtube open in another tab to play music? Never heard of such a thing in my life. Is this true!? Do you need some third party software? (Not interested in discord, voice quality is too poor).
Was just about to say Discord... They have a great rhythm bot.  I'm not getting poor voice quality for me... Lucky perhaps... but it does work great, just link to a YOUTUBE playlist.

I get poor discord sound when using discord video. Lots of dropouts. If you can brave that thread, there are some valid suggestions hidden therein.

Harrison M. said: people were implying you could just have youtube open in another tab to play music? They must mean another tab in your browser, not within roll20. It's not a practical solution: Each of your players would have to independently open youtube, and you have to give them links to play the music each time you wanted to start a new track.

You can use a virtual audio cable (there are free ones) with which you can e.g. stream your music through e.g. a second profile in teamspeak, discord or whereever :) I use a second profile in teamspeak and the second one captures the sounds of my browser, Syrinscape or any other program for which you designate the virtual audio cable as an audio output :) This is what the people may mean, too :)
