Greetings, I go by Ekizius. I'm looking for a game that focuses more on creating an immersive experience with characters and story, rather than getting stuck on rolls and gameplay at every turn. Creating interesting characters and worlds are a hobby of mine, and I take it seriously. Ultimately, I'm looking for like-minded people, but mostly a GM to host a game that'd fit me and possibly my friend. Me and my friend have GMed in the past, but we both would like to find another GM to run the game. Please message me for any questions, interest, or if you have any potential game that fits the criteria. I'm on Discord, Ekizius#0912. Important Info: English; The only language I'm fluent in. Text-based; In which I mean improv text-based, and not play-by-post. Voice is not an option for me. Consistency; I prefer the games to be at least weekly, or more if possible. I expect proper communication as well, as you can expect communication from me. Non-profit; I don't have money to give, but I love to give my help in any other way if the GM needs it, as it's often a thankless position. Small Playerbase; I heavily prefer small amounts of players; generally at least three and at most five, four being the sweet spot. I can even do duos, but I'd prefer more players. Fantasy Settings; I prefer something along the middle; not ridiculously whimsical fantastical, but not 100% simulated history. I tend to enjoy medieval based or low-technology settings the most. I can enjoy early modern or sci-fi, but completely modern settings are a hard pass for me. Open-ended Settings and Systems; Rules-strict systems quickly bring me out of immersion very quickly. I'm looking for something that helps enable player creativity rather than force players into prefixed ideas. For this reason, I'm not a huge fan of D&D (as an example) or other class-based games, as the character I create doesn't feel unique to me; a GM can definitely work around unique ideas, but it doesn't feel intuitive to D&D to create home-brewed content (especially since D&D feels heavily reliant on its internal gameplay balance). Timezone; I'm EST based, normally noon to late night; I'm open to changes though. Schedule unusually isn't an issue aside from health-related issues. Not-so-important Info: Systems I've Played; From most favorite to least favorite, here are the systems I've played and are familiar with: Savage Worlds, Fate Core, Tavern Tales, D&D 5e, Stars Without Number, Pathfinder. This isn't a dealbreaker for me though so far as it doesn't restrict player creativity; I don't mind learning a new system, as long as someone helps walk me through it and it fits my preferences. Mature Games; I am not shy from dark or vulgar themes being added to spice up the game. However, I do not enjoy it being the sole focus, and especially do not like roleplaying out sexual themes.
