Three Critical Failures In A Row!

Has anyone else had ridiculous positive or negative rolls in a row, because last night I rolled three ones in a row on a d20 for attacks. I looked up the statistical odds of it and they are 8000 to 1. The other players all have blind faith in the rolling systems and I do know that it occasionally happens; I've read it's a little below the odds of drawing four of a kind in poker. The plain truth is that I no longer trust the dice rolling system for Roll20. Has anyone else had these kind of rolls? Did the people who recently hacked Roll20 mess with it (seems pretty unlikely)? Is this normal crazy odds in enough random rolls? I'd like to hear from you. Have you experienced this sort of thing? Is there possibly something up with Roll20s system? Is it just me? Again, I'd like to hear from you. Thanks.
Hi Jamian! The QuantumRoll page of the Roll20 Wiki is definitely worth checking out. QuantumRoll is actually more random than physical dice . Streaks such as this are entirely likely and are normal part of random systems. It sucks when it happens but it is as likely to happen with physical dice... when DMNPC'ing a player in my game a couple of years ago I managed to get him killed with a series of failed attacks and saves, ended up rolling 4 consecutive 1s in that scenario. We still drink to the events memory! In real life, recently, I rolled 5 consecutive 1s in a run of 7 initiative rolls for my mooks... suffice to say I don't use that particular d20 anymore. Long story short, I feel your pain but some of us are just cursed ;)

The Quantum Roll page reports that currently, there are about 500,000 rolls per hour. If all of these were 1d20 rolls, then a 1 in 8000 chance would occur about 62 times every hour. Even if only 1 roll in 100 was a 1d20 roll, that would still be 15 times a day. You just seem to be on the unfortunate end of a probability curve. :(
Thanks for all the feedback. It (and a rather unsympathetic G.M.) has prompted me to look up the math to accurately determine for myself what the odds are.

Just keep in mind that the odds of any ordered roll of 3d20 is 8000:1. 1-5-17, 17-5-1, 1-1-1, and 20-20-20 all have equal odds of appearing. From those who have been there (3 crits or fumbles in a row), we salute you.
