What’s a poor peasant to do when dangerous
criminals are knocking on the front door, wild beasts are roaming the backyard,
and their might be zombies in the basement? Well, if you join this campaign you’ll
find out! No More Heroes is a homebrew
D&D 5e campaign that starts the players off with fifty premade characters
that are all of the homebrewed Commoner class that they can freely choose from.
Each session, and after every in-game long rest, the players can switch to
other characters or stick with who they have at the moment. But, why fifty
characters, you might be asking? Because character death is all but an
inevitability. Encounter difficulty will be turned on high from the start and
even if a character isn’t outright killed, maiming and disfigurement are
entirely possible outcomes from even a victorious battle. It’s not all doom and gloom,
however. If players can manage to guide a character all the way through five
custom (and relatively short) levels of Commoner, the character will be
upgradable to level two of a real class, with bonuses to boot! Now for some mechanical details. The day and time of the campaign:
Thursdays at 10PM EST. Length: Generally, 3 hours, but I
have been known to lose track of time. Books: All the published sources
including UA. Homebrew: I’m using a few
homebrew things like the Commoner class, but not much. If you want to use a
homebrew class or spell or whatever, let me check it out and I may approve it. Audio: Using Discord for
communication. Players: Looking to have Five.
If you are interested, please
reply here and I’ll send you a PM. Feel free to ask questions if you’d like
further details before making up your mind. This campaign should be a fun
experience, but failure is a very real possibility. If the whole village dies,
it’s game over man. New players are very welcome so don’t be shy! I look forward
to hearing from any interested players. Hopefully, you are just as excited as I
am to find out what happens when a kingdom is under threat and there are No
More Heroes.
