Animated Gifs "Bouncing"

1551169640

Edited 1551169910
I am trying to utilize some animated gifs, and every time I try, the images play correctly; but they "bounce" as they play. When I open these gifs in image viewers or browsers by themselves, they do not do this. Only in Roll20 (whether used on Map or Object layer). Another problem I am having is that the images need to be very small in size (less than 2MB often, sometimes smaller) to even upload. Otherwise it just hangs with a blank progress bar no matter how long I wait. I can't even upload them here in this forum. I feel this might be related to Roll20 converting these gifs to .webm. Anyhow, here is one of the gifs I am trying to get working. If you can make it work without "bouncing", please tell me how you did it. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1axR5wIdf6vnYKyzZ8BlnbEI_lGvYI-pm https://drive.google.com/open?id=1JbYtnIEG3MlECgg5Ap9bCr5ULHfXZkax
Nothing eh? I made an even smaller version in case anybody wants to try with it. Let me know if it "bounces" when you try to use it in your games.
Hi Jerod, We're sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with this. Please carefully work through to the first three steps of our guide to Solving Technical Issues: Step 1: Make sure to use the right browser - Please check if these issues persist when using both Chrome and Firefox. Step 2: Ensure that there are no extensions/addons interfering with Roll20 - Please disable all add-ons/extensions. Step 3: Clear your cache If steps 1-3 does not resolve your issue, please work through step 4 and provide us with that information.
I cant even get it to post in my games. Cool pic!
Berenice I did steps 1 through 3 already to no avail. I am using the most recent version of Chrome, on Windows 10. Javascript enabled, Windows Defender Antivirus, and No browser extensions. Go to fresh page, select map layer, set down the gif; and it plays, but visibly jitters as it does. init active page! app.js?1551203629:546 activate page! app.js?1551203629:546 FULLY ACTIVATE VIEWS FOR PAGE. app.js?1551203629:546 Graphics: 0 app.js?1551203629:546 Paths: 0 app.js?1551203629:546 Reorder by ZORDER app.js?1551203629:554 refershing page listings! app.js?1551203629:567 Dropped outside list! app.js?1551203629:543 Do width/height snapping app.js?1551203629:543 Do angle snapping! app.js?1551203629:546 Reorder by ZORDER app.js?1551203629:554 refershing page listings! 2app.js?1551203629:543 Do width/height snapping

Hi, Jerod, Thanks for your feedback. The bouncing animations issue is a known issue and is being tracked on the official feedback thread . You can follow its progress there.
