So I have a pseudo-West Marches campaign that I run on Sunday (9am EST) and Monday (11am EST) mornings. Due to school starting back up and work rescheduling, several of my players aren't able to make it anymore. The setting of the campaign is the Isle of Innistrad... primarily. The world setting to be exact is an amalgam of my favorite planes of existence from Magic the Gathering, that I've carefully woven together into a believable fantasy world. Those being Innistrad, Alara, Theros, Fiora (Conspiracy block), Ravnica, Ixalan and Tarkir. As it is however the entire campaign is solely focused on Innistrad. A gothic horror nightmare realm, where werewolves, demons and every flavor of undead haunt ever corner of it's perpetually gloomy atmosphere. There is a deep political narrative I have going on in the background that at least player character is indirectly involved in and is something that has overarching consequences but isn't the meat of the campaign. That is the exploration and monster hunting. Before people had to leave, they had almost all joined a mercenary group that was establishing itself on the island named "The Band of the Blackest Night". Dedicated to the eradication of the undead the original band met their match and only a half-orc named Garr survived the encounter. Now the only and thus highest ranking member, he took on a job to safeguard a cleric of peace to the eponymous island. Any new players will be joining a year after the original party made it to the island. The parties are currently level 7. Monday crew has been reduced to 2 player characters. An elven beastmaster ranger and an elven fey patron warlock.
