In planning on starting up a new campaign here fairly quickly, as soon as next week of possible. As a DM I am always looking for newer and better ways to make Role-Play more immersive. Recently I was turned on to a new style of running combat from a channel called DungeonCraft. This style essentially removes Initiative from the game, and is meant to better simulate in the moment combat. Basically it goes like this: 1. All characters and monsters present on the field state what they are going to do. 2. Players and monsters then roll their attacks simultaneously. 3. Damage is calculated with the highest scoring attack roll happening first. 4. The next round begins. I tested it a little at home and it seemed like this style makes combat more dangerous, but also move very quickly. It also eliminates a lot of possible meta that tends to occur in combat. I'm essentially looking for people to run a danger room with, to see how feasible this would be for my campaign.
