Hello! I'm looking for 1-2 roleplayers for a roleplay-focused one-shot game called "Moving Along." I don't want to describe it too much in order to keep things spoiler-free before the session itself, but it's meant to be a short (2-4 hours) standalone fantasy/D&D-ish game centered around socializing, exploring, a little puzzle-solving, and a lot of roleplaying. Combat's a definite possibility, but I wouldn't expect it to be a main focus or anything. Dicerolling (when needed) will be loosely based on 5E mechanics. Why a one-shot game? I don't want one of those, I want to join a long-term campaign! Me too! However, a one-shot provides a perfect opportunity for participants to get to know each other a bit, see each other in action, and figure out if their individual styles and personalities are a good fit for being in a group together in a quick, low-pressure game before moving on to a more "serious" campaign. Both this one-shot and any future games are intended to be roleplay-heavy and story-focused, so it's also a good way to ensure that all participants are totally comfortable with that. Plus, it should be fun! How do I make a character for this? What level are we starting at? We'll actually go over all this during the session, so for now feel free to just muse about an original and interesting character idea. No need to provide a character sheet either, just bring your creativity and imagination! When is this game taking place? I'm in CST timezone [UTC-06:00] and this game would preferably take place tomorrow [Wednesday] evening-ish, though since it should only take a few hours to go through I can always run it on another day instead or even run multiple sessions depending on people's availability. So if you're a roleplayer who is interested in joining or if you have any questions, please message me and I'll get back to you as soon as I can!
