Hello, Roll20! So, a few months ago, I posted looking for new players for a campaign I would be starting- you can see that post here . I'll be copying a bit of the information from there, to make making this post easy. So, where to start- I go by Lykos, I'm 23, and I've been GMing off and on for a few years- I've ran Changeling: The Lost, Shadowrun (4E), and Pathfinder, in addition to playing in a couple long term Pathfinder games, Exalted, and a bit of Fate and homebrew systems. The campaign has gone on for a bit, and the PCs are now level 4 (We use milestone leveling, and you'll come in at the same level at the others). I've got a lot of write ups about the setting you'll be able to read in the campaign's journal once you've joined. (To see a basic write up of the setting- it'd take up too much space here- see the game's listing here , although please don't make an application there.) Now, some details about the game- after saving the village of Paragon's Rest from a wild Kami, murderous Kech, and Ronin trying to take over the town, the PCs joined up with an Innkeeper of the town who'd decided to leave (as the army of the powerful Yamatian Empire was coming to take over the village) to form a caravan (including buying wagons and recruiting a bunch of NPCs), heading to the other side of the world. What happens when you arrive at the Zeltish Duchies? That's up to the group! My original plan was for things to be very sandbox-ey, able to follow whatever goals or plans called out to the party. So, on top of that, if the group ever decides to change the caravan's destination, or abandon it, or something else- whatever you like is fine! Each character also has a campaign trait that ties them into the big events of Hogakuni (the world), to provide a bit of direction and an ongoing plotline unique to their character. We're using (among a number of other house rules) Path of War, Spheres of Power (replacing the standard Vancian casting), Background skills, unchained diseases/poisons, and a modified version of Automatic Bonus Progression. As far as the general focus of the game's content, I recently had each player fill out a survey of what sort of stuff they've enjoyed the most so far, on a scale of 1-5 (with 3 being neutral/indifferent to that kind of content). Average the group's answers together (sans the player who'll be leaving in about 5 weeks, and including my own answers as the GM), the results are as follows: Combat: 3.75/5 Dungeons: 4/5 Exploration: 4.25/5 Investigation: 4.25/5 Looting: 3.5/5 Puzzles: 3.25/5 Shopping/Selling: 1.75/5 Social Encounters (With the NPCs of the caravan): 5/5 Social Encounters (with other NPCs): 4/5 So, hopefully that gives you a good idea of what kind of content the group likes, and that I'll be trying to focus on. Whoever ends up joining, I'll have you fill out the survey as well, to help include the stuff you enjoy too! To further elaborate on the group, here's a short writeup of each of the PCs- Garr (played by Donjon), the Half-Orc Warder. Currently Chaotic Good. He's the group's tank, standing at the front and drawing fire to himself, Garr is nigh unkillable (in heavy armor and with shield in hand) and the group's guardian. He's also the smartest of the group (appropriate for a Half-Orc, as, in Hogakuni, Half-Orcs are known for their intelligence and cunning, being the only group who've figured out basic firearms), and rather level-headed, though he's got a habit of not allowing enemies to surrender or flee. Garr was, earlier in his life,  exposed to the Balzûg, the supernatural, corrupting fog that surrounds Hogakuni, and has found it haunting his dreams in recent days. Nakayama Katsuo (that's family name/given name) (played by Liam), the Human Bushi Warlord. Currently Lawful Good. His family hails from the Yamatian Empire (think the culture of samurai Japan, with the imperialism of the Roman empire, ruled by an Empress said to be the mortal descendant of the sun goddess Himakaze), and he was raised in their culture and traditions, though he grew up outside of the Empire. Honorable and following Himakaze's code of courage, courtesy, and duty, Katsuo exemplifies Yamatian's ideals of a warrior. He cuts his way across the battlefield with katana and wakizashi in hand, tearing enemies to shreds with precise, skillful draws of his blade. Set Scala (played by Disc), the Human Mystic. Currently Chaotic Good. Set lived most of her life deep in the forests of the Goltwald Reach (the region the game began in and is currently still in, east of the Yamatian empire), her family having fled the Zeltish Duchies (west of Yamatai) hundreds of years ago. An expert scout and survivalist, Set is far less educated about the world at large, having visited a city for the first time with the party. Set is an expert shot with her bow, infusing her arrows with powerful elemental energy- most often electricity- and frequently sows havoc among the enemies by tripping them up and disarming them with well-placed shots. Stormy Knight (played by Lihv, who sadly will be leaving us in a few weeks due to IRL stuff), the Human Sphere Sorcerer. Currently Neutral Good. Stormy is the daughter of one of the powerful families of Rhunevalt, the largest city in the Goltwald Reach, and the main force resisting the Yamatian Empire's current invasion of the region. Those in control of Rhunevalt have made a hefty profit keeping those below them suffering underheel, and Stormy was groomed to follow in the family's trade. Instead, she fled the city, putting the solar power thrumming through her veins to good use, healing the injured and blasting to pieces the wicked. Stormy's the team's healer, with (for those familiar with Spheres of Power) her talents invested in the Life, Destruction, and War spheres, bringing healing, buffing, and AoE damage to the party. As you can see, once Lihv leaves, the party will have three martials, no casters, and no healers. So, preferably, you'll play someone who brings those missing elements to the table! Like I said in the thread title, new players are 100% welcome, as well as those unfamiliar with Path of War, Spheres of Power, or both. Two of our players were brand new to Tabletop in general when we started, and we're 100% welcoming to help more new people learn. What else...we play every Sunday, from 8pm to Midnight (EST). We have a discord server for general communication (text chat between sessions, and voice chat during), and, of course, Roll20 for all the maps, rolling, character sheets, etc. I think that's all the main details! If I've forgot anything important, feel free to ask and I'll update it. As for what I'd like from you, please, preferably in replies to this thread, share with me the following details: Name: (What you'd like to be called) Age: (Your age) Experience: (Your experience with Tabletop in general, and Pathfinder/Path of War/Spheres of Power specifically. No experience at all is required, but me knowing your experience level is useful) Timezone: (Your timezone) Your favorite past character: (Tell me about your favorite character you've ever played in a Tabletop game (Pathfinder or otherwise)! If this would be your first game, feel free to skip this, or perhaps tell me about a second character concept you'd be interesting in trying, in addition to the below) A character concept: (While you'll take some time talking with the other PCs to help your character fit into the group (mechanically and RP-wise), and with me to fit your character into the setting, tell me about an idea you have for a character!) About Yourself: (Whatever other miscellaneous details you'd like to share.) That should be it- Thank you for your interest!
