Emits light only on Pro/Mentor GM accounts?

I'm a player in a campaign but I have run my own games through Roll20 as a paid member but using the free account currently. The GM has a free account. Another player (we will call him B) has a mentor level account. Until a few weeks ago his character had a light aura. Now he doesn't. I am trying to help them troubleshoot the situation but ran into a dead end. Is "emits light" on the advanced tab of the token only available for campaigns that are owned by a Pro/Mentor account? Does Dynamic Lighting have to be turned on for that to appear? Was there a situation where Dynamic Lighting was accidentally turned on for campaigns (and was subsequently revoked)? Player B recalls this has always worked until a few weeks ago (we drafted new characters I'm thinking in July but probably earlier). Is it possible the GM was gifted a pro account, and it lapsed thus killing the dynamic lighting? (I don't recall anyone doing this, but I'm thinking I'd love to gift him some time since he has been running the campaign for us for years.)

Dynamic Lighting is only intended to work on games created by a currently active Pro subscriber. If player "B"'s character was emitting light, that was almost certainly a bug. If it wasn't a bug, the two situations I can think of where it might have worked are the GM having a pro subscription briefly as you illustrated, or the game being played during a promotion where Dynamic Lighting is available for certain types of games, such as Roll20CON (though that hasn't been on since last year some time).

Dynamic lighting is actually for both subscription tiers not just pro and it requires the game creator to be the subscriber (doesn't need to be the current GM) otherwise what the Aaron says holds true.
Thanks for your responses. Winds up I was wrong about the nature of the issue. We were looking at the advanced tab and I assumed it was a "emits light", when it was actually the auras on the basic tab. Now it makes sense and I see it as an issue on the Animations mega-thread. https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/7210748/auras-dont-display-when-grid-is-turned-off/?pageforid=7211083#post-7211083 https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/7160288/animations-and-afow-offical-feedback-thread/?pagenum=1
