Compete Newb In A Pinch - How to use marketplace maps

I've got to run a game in two weeks and a couple of the players need to be remote. OK, says I, I'll finally get motivated to get Roll20 up and working and the remote players can join in and then -- as a nice by-product -- I'll have sussed out how to use Roll20 for the future. :-) So, the game I'm running is a vintage-y run through old-school BECMI "B2: Keep on the Borderlands", and the Caves of Chaos. OK, time to figure out how to get that map into the system. I found https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/set/837/the-caverns-of-entropy in the marketplace, and it seems like everything I want -- nice graphic versions of the old-school maps -- but I feel like I'm missing something very important. If I try to drag any of the map sections to the map layer of my test game, the entire thing seems to be squeezed into like a 3x2 unit size. No matter how much I drag to expand it, I can't seem to figure out how to make the grid on the map line up with the grid on Roll 20. Which makes me feel like "I'm missing some vital part of the process". Any guidance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Make sure you have the map layer selected. If you drop a graphic on the objects or GM layer, it will try to fit it into the grid. You can also turn the grid off in the page settings. If you know the size the graphic should be, you can right click it, click advanced, and set the size (either in pixels or grid units). Finally, I think you can hold alt while dragging it in to preserve size, but that might not be working. I highly recommend going through the tutorial. It only takes half an hour or so and it will get you familiar with the system.

Derek, I am the author of those maps, let me give you some pointers. One of the images that came with the set has the recommended dimensions for use with Roll20. It looks like this. You can use it to help set up the maps so that they line up with the grid. If we use Cavern A as an example, create a page in your game that is 54 x 22 squares wide. Drag the map for cavern a to your new page (I like to work on the token layer at this point). Set the dimensions of the map image to 3750 x 1540 by right clicking on it and selecting 'Set Dimensions' on the 'Advanced' submenu. Then move the image so that it is aligned to the top left corner. It should now fill the page and be aligned to the default grid of 70px per square. The move the image to the map layer by right-clicking and selecting 'Map Layer' under the 'Layer' sub menu. For the maps that are in multiple sections, it is a rinse and repeat. Just line them up next to each other before moving them to the map layer. I hope you enjoy them (my group did). As a bonus, here is the 'Hand Drawn' map of the ravine that I used as well.
Wow. So that all makes complete sense and worked like a champ. :-) Thanks SO much! I appreciate all the effort you put into them.
