Searching marketplace purchases still broken

This has been broken for months.  When I type in a search for an asset that I have matching it either perfectly or even partially matching, nothing (or incorrect things but usually nothing) shows up.  For instance, when I type "web" I fully expect my ancient catacombs purchase to show up with the 4 different webs to show up.  Instead, I get a single free asset, a few that I have not yet purchased, and then some website "matches."  Because I own a lot of content, this is REALLY frustrating because I don't want to click through and scroll through so many things, when I know a simple search should do it.
Hello Steve S., We are sorry to hear you are having this issue. As the Devs said  over here : After doing some digging, this is what's the cause of this issue: Back in the early days of Roll20, Google's search engine API was free and readily available to be used. This was utilized for our web search for the Art Library. At the time, Google had claimed that this would be a freely available asset for a long time. As you can probably guess where this story is going, they decided later to lock their API behind a very significant price tag. Nowadays, when someone runs searches in the art library, it's using search results that we scraped back when we still had the API available. Those search results are tied to the keywords that were searched with at the time. This list of compiled searches are nearly four years old now, and limited to the keywords that were utilized by a fraction of the userbase that we have now. Ideally, we would find another search engine API to utilize, but so far we haven't found one that is financially feasible to license. When things change it will be announced, but for now we're stuck with what we have.
And how does this explain the fact that marketplace assets don't show up? I can only imagine that this is costing your artists significant amounts of lost purchases. And causing substantial problems for the purchasers of those assets.

I too have noticed spotty returns on in-game searches. It can be helped a bit by specifying the type "token, map, etc." but not always. Often I'll seach for a map piece, not realizing the default is "token". Even after correcting, though, it may take several repeats to get a real result.
Hi Steve, Thanks for bringing this up-- I found a previous ticket in our system outlining a similar issue. I have appended your information to that ticket and will be alerting the development team to the recurring issue. We do not have a direct workaround unfortunately aside from perhaps downloading a set and uploading it (far from ideal). Our apologies for the inconvenience!
