Hi there, I DM a weekly 5e homebrew game. Currently, we have four (4) players, but I would like to add another to round out the group. We strive to balance RP, problem-solving and combat, although a given session might have more or less of a given element. Our sessions generally run four or five hours depending on what's going on with the story. The game is set in a homebrew world and focuses on seafaring, exploration, piracy, and intrigue. Currently, the characters range from level 5 - 7. I ask that new characters begin at level 1, although I typically run a 1-on-1 game with the new character that gets them to level 2 or higher prior to actually joining the group. Don't worry about your character dying because they are lower level than the rest of the party. I will balance encounters so that they are challenging, but still fun. There is a definite narrative arc to our game. If you like the idea of a long-term story that your character can directly impact, then you will enjoy our game. For character creation, we use the standard array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8.) Anything from the PHB is allowed. If you want something from another book just ask. I generally say yes. A good or neutral character would work best with our game. If you are interested, send me a message with a character concept.
