Openings for an ongoing game. Currently seeking to fill open slots for a steampunk campaign set in an alternate Victorian-age world. We're currently playing through Act VI and will be starting Act VII in the not too distant future. It's a pretty crunchy old system but it has its charms. I've built a character sheet to handle a lot of the calculations and will work with any new players to get them up and running. Actual game play usually just involves hitting a roll button in Roll20 for any particular skill once the character is created. But you need to love the crunch as the price for that nuance. Emphasis is on story and character. The system I'm using can be very brutal for combat, especially when factoring in relatively modern firearms. Entering into combat therefore should be a very calculated decision, entered only after other options are exhausted. That's not to say that combat doesn't occur; but when it does, there will be a real sense of risk most of the time. An ideal player would be one who enjoys story, character creation, investigation, problem solving, roleplaying, and has a sense of wonder and exploration (liking to explore semi-historical settings would only help as well). Game application itself is at: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/144536/boom-goes-london Thanks for reading this. And best of games to you!
Ah Chartmaster: the Space edition. So many fond memories...so many Type E crits inflicted on my adventurers... sadly time conflict but good luck with the recruiting! :)

I just wanted to mention that if you can't make the game time, you're still more than welcome to come hang with us in Discord, where all the PBT moves happen and you can just yack about steampunk and RPG and RPG computer games in general. It's a good place to get notified about new campaigns before they're announced in Roll20. You might even get invited to participate with your own steampunk character via PBT if there's time, in order to help us expand the steampunk setting. PM if interested. @Rerednaw - yes, crit charts can be entertaining sometimes for the players when they're inflicting them; not so much when inflicted on them. Actually, I encourage finding alternative solutions to combat, by awarding experience outside the combat context. Combat should be a last resort, not a first one. That's what I like about this line of systems - the moment one takes that step to engage, you are always putting your character's paper life at risk, no matter how elite your character might be. And my steampunk game occupies that highly dangerous middle ground where you have the lethality of firearms in Spacemaster rules, but the coincidence of characters being entirely unarmored: not a happy marriage. But it does make surviving combat a worthwhile experience in and of itself, when it does happen. Good games to ya!
