Lfg for Numenera

Hello, I recently picked up the Numenera book and am really intrigued. Not sure I want to run it per se, but I'd like to try playing if anyone has a group going, or looking to start one. Got lots of experience with games in general, and with roll20. Thanks! Fee
Hey there, I'd consider running Numenera if we can work out a date/time. I have some experience with Roll20 and have played Numenera at a Con. So I'm new to running it, but have run a lot of Savage Worlds among other games. I'd start out with one of the adventures in the main book and after that we can see about extending it into a campaign (if it did it would have to be an every other week game). What days/times work well for the two of you? I'm on the East Coast (GMT-4) and can do Mondays, some Wednesdays, or possibly the weekend.
I'd be interested in playing. I'm on the West Coast, and have Sunday-Wednesday evenings open at the moment. Numenera looks interesting to me, but doesn't seem to interest my usual group, so.... :P
Every other week would be perfect for me actually. Mondays and Wednesdays are both good. I already play sunday nights in another game, so would prefer to leave the weekends open. If you want to set up a time to brainstorm or create characters just let me know when would be best. This week is going to be tight until say Thursday but after that things open up. I might potentially be able to bring along some members of my current DnD group. I've been trying to get them interested in Numenera but right now it's just a curiosity. They agreed if I could get soem experience with it and see how it actually plays they'd consider trying though. :) Thanks by the way. :) Fee
OK, sounds like a Monday night works the best so far. Let's give Randy some time to respond and see if that works for him too. Three is enough to get it going and I wouldn't want much more than that.
Randy's post disappeared? Does that mean he's out? And are we thinking next Monday, or do you need more time to get prepared?

Monday works great for me, usually after 8 est. Character concept: I am a nervous Jack who can always find the right button to push. I am not married to being a Jack, but I very rarely play a rogue type so I thought it might be fun to grab it before someone else does. :) It seems from the system though that it is not vitally essential to have a representation of each type. As far as finding another I will work on getting my wife to agree to play, if not I may be able to find someone else if Randy is not available.
Hey, guys, are you still looking for more? I have a Numenera book along with the additionals(bestiary, cypher list, etc.). I'm not looking to run it as I haven't done a full successful Numenera campaign yet, but I'd like to play if there's space. I can do weekdays. In fact, the posted time above(Mondays after 8PM EST) is pretty much perfect. I'd likely create a Glaive character.

I'm excited! I'll need to shove my head back into the rulebook--i've been wrapping my head around various other systems of late, and my brain simply doesn't have as much drive space as it had in days of yore. And what is there is in desperate need of defragmenting. :P I'm thinking of playing a Clever Nano who Talks to Machines, but I'm not completely sure.
Interesting, seems that Randy is out, his post is gone and there is no indication he's interested (no PM or anything). With Malcolm joining that gives us 3 which is enough to move forward. As for this upcoming Monday, I think I'll need a bit more time to prep a full adventure. I'm in the same boat as you Christopher, been looking at several systems lately (FATE,FAE, and BOL) and need to do a refresh of Numenera before we jump in. So likely Monday after next. I've created a campaign for us to start out and discuss the game, characters, etc... I'll be sending you each a PM.
Ooh...what's BOL? FATE is the main one I've been looking at...I'm actually taking part in a one-shot this evening with a small group through hangouts so I can get some play time with it. I'm also involved in a Gamma World campaign, preparing for a Shadowrun campaign, and reading about savage worlds and anything else I've come across. And all this after not really playing tabletop RPGs for a couple of decades. *chuckles*

Also, there seem to be a few people working on FATE Numenera hacks. Modern RPGing is exciting! :) For example: Fate and Numenera

Hey there Christopher, BOL is Barbarians of Lemuria which is a rules lite RPG for Sword and Sorcery. It has several variants, the one I was looking at is Heroes of Hellas basically Sword and Sandal in a mythic Greece (after seeing 300). I really like FATE, both core and the accelerated version, just not sure I'm able to run them yet. I'm definitely keeping an eye on the Numenera hacks. I have a lot of experience with Savage Worlds, I ran several face to face campaigns and a few one-shots on Roll20. I'd be glad to answer any questions you may have (just PM me or create a thread in the campaign). Yep, definitely exciting times in the RPG industry, especially with Kickstarter. I grew up on AD&D, before there were editions and have tried most of them (4E was my last many years ago). I haven't looked back after finding Savage Worlds (I still have the original edition rule book) which opened me up to newer non-D20 games.
Are you guys still looking for players? I'd be interested.
Up to Rudie. I'm game!
Sure Ken, we can add a 4th. I'll PM you.
