Edit: Game is full but you can watch it Thursday nights at 8pm Pacific on https://twitch.tv/xbwalker1 Hello everybody. My name is Brandon Berryhill. I am the author of the book, "Ruin." Over 1 million copies sold (in my dreams). I'd link to amazon, but I don't know the rules about external linking, so I will just encourage you to search yourself or grab the link at brandonberryhill.com Anyhow, over the past week, I have been hard at work fleshing out the world of Ruin for RPG format. I decided to go with the Genesys system since I am fairly familiar with it (GMing Star Wars). I am looking for 5 players, preferably ones who can consistently play once a week from April 18 to late May. Video is allowed but not required. Voice is a must though. The games are at 8PM Pacific on Thursday nights starting on April 18th. Sorry for you early east coast sleepers, but my kid goes to bed at 730. That's the best I can do. Sorry that it isn't starting sooner but I will be in Germany for a business trip next week. Here is a link to the campaign. https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/155120/battle-for-ruin Hopefully that is right. Keep in mind, I welcome new players, but I wouldn't mind a veteran or two. It has been a while since I GMd, so I could use a few mature and cool heads to keep me on course if I mess up any dice mechanics. As the author of Ruin, I'd like to think my story writing skills are up to par for a good RPG course, so let's hope we have a really fun adventure! Much of the art in this campaign is taken straight from my book, which is illustrated heavily. Much more of it is art from the second book which is not yet released! Now, for the boring details. Environment: Arid/Desert Mostly Location: Fictional world of Ruin Era: Technology roughly equal to late 1700s with some steampunk thrown in such as airships, landships, clockwork. Culture: Varies depending on where you are. This is a fictional world so there are no actual cultures from our history but there are comparisons. Mood: Depends on the player. Could be dark. Could be fun. Up to the group. Similarities: Somewhat similar in setting to Dune I suppose. No giant worms or aliens though and far more primitive. According to people who have reviewed my book, " a bit of a Road Warrior meets Dune feel throughout give this book a very compelling feel." One other thing to note: If you volunteer for this inaugural campaign in the Ruin universe, you will be helping me flesh out the universe. Especially with gear and settings. I have a list that I made myself of over 200 weapons, armor, and items, but I plan to expand on this significantly. As we play, I will be adding more! Oh and, if the story is really good, I may just weave some references to your characters and adventures into my next few books. Thanks all and I will see you in Ruin!
