Play campaign on iPad?

I’m looking to start my first game on Roll20. My desktop is on the fritz. Can I play on my iPad? I’m reading mixed info when I search.  From what I’ve read, Id play through safari browser. The app doesn’t support more than the sharing of creation, etc.

It can be done, though there are some quirks. Despite being on the iPad, I'd still suggest installing Google Chrome for best compatibility. The primary things I've heard about Table on Tablet is that it can feel cramped (particularly for GMs) and that there is some difficult behavior concerning context menus (right clicking). And you are right about the App, it is more of an accessory.

I had somebody who played on two phones, one for Roll 20 and another one for Discord. It did not work well, he never could see any of the visual clues, his chat entries looked like they were Gibberstanish...

IIRC you have to be a Pro subscriber to run a game on a tablet.
