OG Post for reference: https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/4474921/out-of-the-abyss-dificil Campaign for lvls 1-15: (Starting at lvl 1) Homebrew tolerant. Experience preferred. Creative character designs ENCOURAGED! ;) Running a few "one-offs" to test players for party compatibility. After finalizing the party, looking to run this game weekly/bi-weekly depending on my work schedule. "Deep beneath the surface of the world lies the Underdark, a realm of endless labyrinthine tunnels and caverns where the sun never shines. The Underdark is filled with races and creatures too numerous to count or list, and foremost among these are the dark elves—the Drow. Hated and feared even by their fellow dwellers in darkness, the drow raid other settlements in the Underdark as well as the surface world, taking prisoners back with them. Rendered unconscious with drow poison, then collared and shackled, these prisoners are eventually sold as slaves or entertainment in the dark elves' subterranean cities." Hello all, welcome to "Out of the Abyss", a DnD 5E Module focusing on the Underdark setting with a splash of Demons here and there. This is my first time running a module. I'm using it as an exercise to strengthen my homebrew campaign design and general DM'ing. That being said, this is a more narrative centric campaign, or rather not a place for sandbox players. Running a module for the first time already is a hell of a task. Derailing 100s of pages of studying and preparation just isn't going to work. I ENCOURAGE creative gameplay, combat, character design, and problem solving, but PLEASE work towards following the plot of the campaign. I'm not trying to railroad the campaign by any means, but going completely off-course "for the lols" will hurt the experience for everybody. Also, looking for more experienced players, or fast learners. I AM open to new players, but please be ready to put the time in to learning how to play. As for the experienced lot, I'm not a DM who enables power gaming fantasies. I'm a STORY/GAMEPLAY DM. Not all about smashing faces and showing off how elitist one's min/max build is. Not against strong characters so long as it is a strong character design backing it. I'm open to homebrew/custom character elements. If something feels poorly designed, I'll "nope" it or edit it accordingly. I want to give you guys your character design fantasies, but they have to be mechanically fair, and work lore wise. This campaign will be run with less forgiveness that your standard campaign. Hence the preference or experienced players/fast learners. Trying to run a more.... "challenging" campaign. The Underdark is pretty darn dangerous. .....just sayin'. As for the interview process.... I will be doing so with "one-offs" over the next few days. Running sessions NOT RELEVANT to the main campaign. Want to see how people play, and work as a team before taking them in. I have ZERO tolerance for toxicity, elitism, or lack of interest in engaging your comrades in a constructive, friendly manner. Blah blah blah, let's get this boys....and others.... :D
id be interested depending on when the sessions are
